I brought a photo to show what highlights I wanted to get. At the end of the session, the highlights did not look remotely like the photo. I made an appointment to go back, and it was cancelled. I made another appointment and the highlights were done again. 4 days later, I shampooed my hair with gentle, sulfate free shampoo and 3/4 of the highlighting disappeared.

Katie at Dona LaRue Salon did an amazing job! She colored and cut my hair and suggested a slight change to the color, which I ended up loving. She’s very talented, works quickly, and clearly knows what she’s doing. I’m so happy with the results!

Elisa is the ultimate hair guru! She knows what she's doing and does amazing work! She gave me the cutest layers and does amazing extensions, cuts, and colors! It's also such a blast to be in Elisa's chair! The whole appointment feels like hanging out with your coolest friend who just happens to make you look stunning while you chat. If you're looking for someone to make you feel confident and give you amazing hair, Elisa is your girl!

We were in town visiting, and I needed a haircut. Elisa did an amazing job. She listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions, and gave me an amazing hair cut. The salon is clean and has a great retro vibe.

I reached out to ask if a gift certificate that expired last October could still be honored. While I understand that businesses can enforce expiration policies, I was disappointed there was no willingness to offer even a partial credit or alternative solution—especially since the service had already been paid for and never used. Most places would at least offer something as a gesture of goodwill. I actually did not receive a response to my initial voicemail to the front desk, and then followed up with an employee, who was the only one who actually returned my call to communicate the salon’s policy. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding that led to my appointment being canceled. Still, that employee handled their part professionally. What I found most troubling was the owner’s response after I left my review. Rather than taking responsibility, she told me the review would impact the employee’s pay—even though that employee wasn’t responsible for the outcome and had simply relayed the owner’s decision. Holding staff accountable for customer feedback on management decisions feels unfair and misplaced. The salon has a great overall rating, and I’m sure many people have had positive experiences. But mine was not one of them, and I believe it’s worth sharing.

Katie did such a good job on my perm! It was my first time getting one (I have very straight, fine hair) and it looks amazing! The salon overall has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

I'm a first time customer here. The salon is lovely. My stylist today was Kassy Smith. She just did an excellent job with my short hair with both razor and scissors, plus a long and fabulous massage along with the shampoo. I also enjoyed the visit. She seems like a very nice person. I highly recommend!
