Mira Hair Salon LLC

My mother has been going to Mira’s Hair Salon since around 2010, and she always spoke highly of Mira. Today was her first appointment there in quite some time, as I recently moved her closer to my home so I could better care for her as she gets older. Mira greeted her warmly with a hug as soon as we walked in, which immediately set a kind and welcoming tone. While Mira finished with another client, I noticed how pleased the woman seemed with her haircut and style. In the background, another stylist was working on a gentleman’s hair, chatting with him about family members they clearly both knew. The atmosphere felt friendly and familiar. When Mira took my mom back, she guided her gently, and it truly felt like two friends reconnecting. She listened carefully to my mom’s wishes and translated them into the perfect haircut and style. At the end of the appointment, Mira hugged my mother goodbye, shared a bit of small talk, and sent us off with smiles. This kind of genuine, personal service is rare these days. Mira and her team clearly put their customers first, treating them more like friends than clients. I wholeheartedly recommend Mira’s Hair Salon.

I am from Germany and i am in Michigan for a visit. I got a perm from Mia yesterday and she did the best job ever. Not only did she take care of my hair, she also made me feel appreciated and welcomed. She is such a lovely person and i hope i get to see her again. Thank you for you wonderful service and your kindness.

It was my first time coming to this hair salon. I got my hair bleached and got a long haircut. The owner had an attitude to her when I asked her what she recommended as far as color treatment. While my hair was being colored, some of it got on my hoodie and stained it. As far as prices go, it is average to slightly above average. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Mira is absolutely wonderful inside and out. Not only does she do amazing hair, but she is so nice and welcoming. She really listens to what you want done and her attention to detail is superb. I got my hair done recently and had a lot of red tones but I wanted to go back to more of a natural color. Mira took her time to get me back to the color that I was aiming for. If you are looking for a new stylist I highly recommended her.

I was super happy when Mira Salon was able to get my son in for a perm last minute. I called on 8/29 and they were able to get him in on 8/30 at 10 AM. Right when I show up and tell them that I am there for the perm the woman just stares at me and didn’t say anything after a little bit she ends up telling me she thought my appointment was at 11. Turns out she double booked herself at 10 AM. I told her it’s not an issue as I knew my appointment was last minute and it would be hard to go anywhere else. My son and I will go out to breakfast and we will be right back she told us to come back at 11 AM. I showed up at 11 AM and the customer that she had also booked at 10 was a cut and color and nowhere close to be done at 11. We wait around another 40 minutes before she’s finally ready for us at that point she asked me about my son’s blonde hair and whether it’s natural or not I tell her it is natural and she states, ‘Good because I wouldn’t have done the perm otherwise.’ If that’s true, I don’t know why she had us wait around an 1:40 minutes before asking that question? She starts my son’s perm and I hear her talking to him over and over about how it probably won’t take to his hair (he’s had other perms and been fine), and that his hair is so damaged and broken and bad that it’s not gonna end up well. My son look really stressed out so I walked up to her and decided to ask her if she didn’t think it would work and she didn’t wanna do the perm if she could just stop and we will go somewhere else.. she tried to tell me that’s not what she meant and that it was fine and she knew what she was doing. I let her go ahead she kept talking about negative things and making my son uncomfortable to the point that the woman getting her hair next to my son and the hairdresser started chiming in asking questions about school and being super polite and kind to him to make him feel comfortable. The lady getting her hair next to my son walked out later to make a phone call and stopped to talk to me telling me how lovely my son was and how bad she felt for him for how rude the hairdresser was being. She mentioned it was her first time at the salon as well and couldn’t believe that woman’s behavior. All this after being double booked and wasting hours of my morning, I wasn’t rude, I simply told them I understand it was a mistake and I would come back. At one point it seemed that the owner of the Salon could tell I was annoyed and upset with the whole situation and she came over and thanked me for my patience. While the perm solution was sitting in his hair my son came up to me and asked me why she was being so rude. He didn’t understand. He also said that she wouldn’t tell him when and where to move his head she would just grab her hands and roughly move his head where she wanted it to be. While she was checking me out she asked something along the lines of, ‘Do you even want to tip?’ I assume it was because she knew how rude she was being. I did still tipped 20% (although I regret that now) I usually tip hair dresser 25/30%. All-around horrible customer service for a new customer who was very patient and kind about your mistakes and totally inappropriate behavior towards 11-year-old boy who did nothing. The perm turned out fine so I guess I feel OK giving the place one star.

Absolutely love this salon! I haven't had a perm in well over 20 years and finally decided to get one. The only regret I have is waiting so long! Mia was amazing, knowledgeable, and very kind! She explained every step, answered all my questions, and the outcome exceeded my expectations! Price was very fair!

This salon is very good at making you feel special. They offer complete services for the whole family with very good prices. The waiting area has comfortable seating and complimentary water. I went there for a cut and color with a style. Mira's offers the latest Infrared Hair Color Processor shown in my pics. This reduces the time needed to process saving time and gentle on your hair. I am definitely returning and this is my permanent salon.
