Jocy Hair Place

Been going here for years. Jocy is great quick and efficient with her hair cuts and very affordable.

Jocy is the best! Great place, clean environment, friendly workers and nice atmosphere the first time I went she did amazing and after that I didn't want to get my hair cut from anywhere else or anyone lol I grew out my hair and waited to go back to her for a certain style and she was able to create it ❤️ jocy listens works with you and makes you feel comfortable as well as her employees. It's hard to find someone who has the talent she has .

Went in for a Men basic manicure/pedicure, I was see immediately upon arrival. Everyone had a mask, so felt like it was a COVID friendly environment if you will. The pedicure was fine, however the manicure was awful due to poor equipment such as a very dull nail clipper. Furthermore, I requested a nail buffer-however the business did not have one on the premises. I inquired on the price at the end of my session and was told it is $40. When I questioned the price w/ owner/manager she advised normally it’s $45 and be said "oh well" to my dismay. I normally tip well so gave $10 to the nail technician as I believed she did the best to her ability given the poor equipment/non-existent she had. Over-all the attitude of the owner was terrible and I would not recommend anyone to visit this location. I’m local and have an entire circle that would visit this location...but it doesn’t seem like the business cares about there customers.

I came here with my sister in law. We both wanted to get our hair trimmed and it was so fast. Both of us took 45min to get out hair cut. The lady was very nice and her method of cutting hair was interesting. Total for bot of our hair is about $32. And perhaps next time I’m going to get my nails done here too 🙂

I've been going to Jocy's since my daughter decided to cut her hair at school with paper scissors lol. She always cuts my hair leaves me with a smile. Love her dearly and all her staff really wonderful people. I highly recommend her shop. I would wait as long as I have to, she's the best. Worth waiting for.

The worst service I ever received in my life. Jocy is only out to steal your money! She is a terrible person who purposely ruined my hair for my wedding. Waited there for 9 hours, only to receive rude service, damaged hair, the opposite of everything I wanted and no apology. This place should be out of business.

Problems with this so called salon establishment: 1) extremely long wait, even when there are not alot of customers 2) the price tag is not worth their bad service. 3) speaking of price tag be prepared to get ripped off. The owner jocy is guaranteed to try and take as much of your hard earned money 4) the gossip in this place is real. So much time spent gossiping leading to longer wait times and poorer work 5) as mentioned previously and most importantly , this place is just not good at what they do. Better off going somewhere else where they actually can preform beauty services at a minimal even decent level. Go somewhere where the employees dont gossip to this level and actually do their job. A place where you wont get ripped off and the owner can actually set the standard for how a business should be run. This is New York, there is no lack of salons. Go anywhere else but here. You will surely regret it if you come here!
