Kangnam Style Hair Salon

Going to this salon was the biggest mistake. I paid $60 plus tip (cash or Zelle only, no cards). I asked for curtain bangs to the middle of my nose and just a trim on the sides. Instead, she cut my bangs to my eyebrows without even spraying or sectioning my hair, didn’t blend them at all, and left me with choppy, staircase-like layers. When I told her it was too short, she didn’t apologize—she just said it was what I asked for. Later when I called to complain, again, no apology—just, "What do you want me to do?" This is not cheap, it’s not the 90s, and I’ve never seen such careless work. Honestly, YouTube tutorials show more skill and care than this salon. And the truth is, salons run by older stylists in this area all seem to be the same. No matter what style the customer asks for, they cut however they want and then act like it’s not their problem. They make mistakes but expect the customer to just accept it. They never admit fault or apologize—only blame the customer. It’s exactly the old-fashioned "old women" mindset. I will never go to a Korean old women-run salon again.

My mom got her hair done here, and she absolutely loved it! The salon ladies that work here are so attentive but work super efficiently. My mom had her hair pampered with luxurious masks and serums after her treatment and during her styling. She got the "setting perm".

I'm still shaken and horrified by the worst ever experience in my life. I'm going to hair salons for 25 years and never had such a horrible outcome and then they ever refused to correct it! Even when I was willing to pay again, just because I was so embarrassed to go outside with yellow, unnatural hair color that definitely doesn't fit the rest of my hair. They forgot to do roots in the front as you can see and charged 100$ for this! I had to repair the next day in the wonderful salon named HP in Santa Clara. They were so rude! Awful customer service and lack of knowledge in chemistry of colors. Be aware and avoid my mistake. They ever tried to convince me that this is what I asked for. Common, look at the root, the weird yellow hair. Before I had a perfect blond. Walked out sad and ashamed of my appearance.

even though I clearly instructed to not cut the side hair, they still did and the result looks ridiculous as it simply doesn't work with my face shape. They are just following the "standard formula" and completely ignoring whether it really works with you or not. Not worth 45 bucks. I walked in with a good hair and walked out looking like a clown.

Very happy with hair-color (Ash Brown #5+#6) root retouch and layered haircut. Hair looks healthy and shiny. I’m loving it.

Have been coming here for the past few years to get a men's haircut. Easy to schedule a same day haircut, all of the staff here are super friendly and accommodating to your requests. Highly recommended if you want to get a Korean hairstyle!

Overall rating Haircut: 5 stars Service: 3 to 5 (depending on people) First time I was there I loved the haircut, but forgot to ask for her name. I feel the customer service was not very good, I think it was because I am not Korean. (could just be me) But the lady was very professional and did a beautiful job. Got a haircut there again and the lady just told me she wanted to shampoo the hair before the haircut, I find it odd since they do it after, I went along with her request, She cut my hair in less than 15 minutes told her specifically not to thin out my hair and she did it anyways, she did the haircut with my hair soaking wet (machine cut). I think some of the people is very professional and some are not, is a hit or miss, but it is worth it if you don't mind the service experience. The haircut is not bad but is not what I asked for.
