In one day, Aki did three dangerous procedures that usually damaged hair: bleaching, straightening and coloring. But she used her extensive experiences to carefully monitor the temperature and texture and watch my hair change color from dark, dirty brown to silver grey. Now I can allow the nature grey to grow out without worrying. Great job done Aki!

Aki is not just a hairstylist — she is truly an artist and a master of color. When I first found her four years ago, I never imagined that I, a woman in my 50s, would fall in love with coloring my hair. Over the past few years, I’ve tried blonde, purple, and sophisticated gray tones with her. Aki has an exceptional talent for color mixing — the results always look elegant, dimensional, and high-end. I’m often asked in public where I get my hair done, which says everything. After every color appointment, Aki patiently teaches me how to care for my hair and how to choose the right shade to naturally cover new gray growth. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care make every visit a great experience. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Aki and highly recommend her.

Aki is amazing at cutting Asian hair. As an Asian guy it’s hard to find a barber that doesn’t just buzz the sides off and make you look like a porcupine. But she is able to really layer fine Asian hair and make it have texture and volume. She takes a lot of care in her work and would definitely recommend!

I’ve tried many places for hair straightening, but Aki’s Hair Salon is hands down the best! My hair came out incredibly shiny and flowing with so much natural movement. It’s not that "flat" or "lifeless" look you sometimes get with straightening treatments. The owner is extremely patient and truly dedicated to her craft. I feel so lucky to have found such a talented and professional stylist. Highly recommend!

Worst haircut experience. I showed the stylist a picture of the haircut I wanted, but the result was nowhere close. I’m very disappointed. Usually, haircuts are done on wet hair so the stylist can manage curls and waves properly. This was the first time I saw someone cutting hair without wetting it, and the outcome reflected that. Will never visit again.

I am giving this place only 1 star because that’s the lowest score I can give. We went there so my son could get a haircut. The owner, Aki, was not patient and didn’t listen to what I was saying from the beginning. I kept telling her how I wanted my son's hair to look, but she kept asking for pictures instead. I asked her many times not to cut the hair too short, and she nodded but still cut it badly. While she was cutting I thought maybe this is her style and kept telling myself to trust the process.This was the worst haircut we ever had! I couldn’t believe she messed up his hair so much. Please don’t go to this place.

If we could give half stars I would give her 4.5 stars. This review is from a men's haircut point of view. My hair is short and I get a fade type of haircut. What I appreciate about her is her pricing and how she loves to cut hair. She takes her time to give you a good haircut. That being said if you are looking for a place to get a quick cut and be in and out then this isn't the place for you. Because she loves to cut hair so much she may run over her scheduled appointment times and thus be late for your appointment. If you do go bring a picture as she speaks a little English but knows Japanese and Chinese comfortably if you speak those languages.
