Firefly Salon and Spa

This is a really good place in San Angelo. I’ve been to a couple different places and this one offers a lot of variety not only with stylists of hair, but also with doing nails with waxes with spas and offers hair for men too. I really appreciate how this location is trying to take the more modern appeal that is growing in other cities, allowing the stylist to have more freedom to control their schedules. Look at their instagram to see each stylists capabilities (negative reviews claim that there are stylists with no pictures to show skills) as well as know about cute events that the location is hosting. I had LAISHA. She is awesome very communicative and very open to listening to you. She is very skilled with red as you can see with my hair in the picture. The location in general has lots of appointments open and I see some negative reviews in here commenting on having to reschedule, but it is important to remember that people have children here and people are getting sick. It’s better for your stylist to stay home than get you sick as well. The prices are also very reasonable. As somebody who comes from a bigger city expecting to pay almost double what I had to pay, I got the same quality for a much more reasonable price. For me, my stylist was also open to feedback when I told her I wanted something different or I wanted something specific and everyone was always really friendly to me. There is lots of parking here too. They also offer water coffee and snacks in case you forgot them.

First thing I can say is WOW. Tori stripped my aura clean. I forgave people I forgot I was mad at. I tipped my barista 80%. I remembered how to double dutch jump rope. But I’m not here to talk about my new life as a good person. I’m here to discuss the serious benefits of a head spa. You can scroll through these reviews and see pretty quickly that a head spa is a relaxing, luxurious experience. I’ve fallen asleep at all 3 of my experiences!! BUT I had a dream of a flake-free scalp that didn’t itch all day. And Tori has put me on that path. As you can see from these photos, my scalp started out as red and irritated and had HUGE ITCHY FLAKES OF DANDRUFF. I couldn’t even put a ponytail or claw clip in without snow falling like a hallmark Christmas movie kissing scene. Part of Tori’s aura experience is the massage and relaxation. But what many don’t realize is she is loosening and removing build up from your scalp. So there are major health benefits as well. In the video you can see I’m trying to scratch up flakes after my 3rd headspa and hardly anything is coming up now. My hair even air dries faster now that it’s able to breathe, and I don’t have very much hair falling out anymore in the shower or when I’m brushing it. I highly recommend it if you have a troublesome scalp. She will do your treatment but also tweak your shampoo and product routine to fit your needs.

Allison always does great with my hair. I can send her multiple pictures as a reference and point out what I like in each one. She even books my appointments for me which is helpful with all the services they offer I know I’m booked for exactly what is needed. She’s also great with kids which definitely helps if you have a toddler and want to get your hair done. Honestly most of the staff at the salon are great with kids.

ALLISON MURPHEY is the best hair stylist i have ever had the pleasure of having. She always sees my vision and honestly makes it 10 times better! She always works with me on my schedule and always treats me like a best friend when I walk in! Getting my hair done with Allison is always a treat! Thank you for everything Allison ! I also have to say PAIGE IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AS WELL! we had glamour makeup done and man that girl can put some makeup on! She sees the vision and goes for it! She did exactly what i asked for ! You girls make a great team!!!

10/10 recommend Allison to do your hair. She killed it and was priced well! Will be going back to her to do all my hair!

Allison Murphy is the best! She was very patient and made my daughter feel comfortable with her very first haircut. She also helped me with my hair when another person messed it up. 10/10 recommend her always!

I love coming back to Allison! Her and Paige always do amazing when I come back to touch my calico! I highly recommend both Allison and Paige, 10/10! (Plus Allison’s booth is super cute!)
