Let me tell you how I first meet Fatou. I had found someone else online. Paid a deposit drove to the location. Baby, when I tell you. I got scammed because I was desperate. I went online again to find a salon with a same day appointment. Fatou had great reviews! So, I called. She answered right away. I asked if she had an opening it was an emergency. She said yes, I was so happy! I have not looked back. I’ve loved every hair style I’ve gotten. All her staff our friendly and welcoming! I do nothing but laugh and enjoy getting my hair done! It’s been about 3 years and I will not be going anywhere else!!!
This was by far one of the worst salon experiences I’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a 6–7 hour appointment turned into an exhausting 11-hour ordeal. Upon arrival, the braider suddenly increased the price from $550 to $950—after we had already agreed but we settled on $750. Despite paying the agreed amount, the results were horrible. The braids were uneven, the parts were not straight, and frizzy hair was sticking out everywhere. I was so disappointed with the quality that I took them down the very next day. The salon itself was dirty and unsanitary. To make matters worse, the braider had her two children there and spent most of the appointment yelling at them, making the environment extremely uncomfortable. I reached out to express my dissatisfaction and was sent only a $50 refund, which is unacceptable given the poor service and result. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The service was unprofessional, the environment was unpleasant, and the end result was a complete waste of time and money. Buyer beware.
Fatou is an incredible stylist! She managed to fit me in for a sew-in wig install at the last minute, and her expertise and professionalism are simply outstanding. Surround yourself with a beautiful atmosphere and feel like royalty. Her friendly and efficient approach made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Her prices are very reasonable, and she offers a wide range of hair products to suit every customer's needs and style preferences. I'm so thrilled with the service she provided, and I'm proud to say that I've found my forever stylist in her.
The salon is very neat. The staff are very friendly. Fatou the braider is very patient and a fast Braider. She also have a soft hands while braiding. She has a very good edge control and a hair growth product.
I’m biracial and this was my first time getting braids ever and I am so pleased!! I’ve heard horror stories about braiders and she was exactly the opposite of what I’ve heard… kind, honest, efficient, and talented. I had no idea what I wanted or needed, Fatou guided me through what hair to buy and made sure that I knew how to take care of them when she was done. DID I MENTION HOW FAST SHE IS????? Bro, on a walk-in that I had to make a stop for hair, I was in and out in less than 4 hours and I LOOK AMAZING! The shop is absolutely beautiful (check out the teal & gold pictures on the walls… my favorite colors!), the chairs are comfy, and the conversation great! Her other employee was so sweet too! All in all, if you’re needing your hair done, her hands are the ones you want in your head! 🥰🥰
If I could give this "daycare" 0 stars, I would. This shop was rowdy and unconcerned with me as a paying client. Not only were they late, but her 3 kids were running and screaming as well as Fatou herself. I wanted to leave because I was uncomfortable. I was willing to pay for what was done, but she gave me two ultimatums; either pay the full amount ($300) or have the hair taken out. I refused, and she called the cops on me and locked the door. I understand kids can't always be tended to, but having them constantly crying and throwing things near you is unprofessional. On top of that, she left me alone to attend to another client. They got a full-blown wash and dry and comb out while I sat there with barely half my hair done. She didn't even do the style correctly. I was also told I needed to be quick with my phone call because she had other clients, yet she had multiple phone calls and conversations and lessons that shifted her work from me. I can't say my experience was appropriate or professional in any manner.
By far the fastest I've ever seen my someone braid this hair! It looks great and it didn't take literally 12 hours. Only took about 5 hours which is miraculous compared to the b4 times. Plus Fatou is a very nice, overall great experience.
