As a 28-year-old African American woman, finding a Black-owned salon that truly understands and excels at styling textured hair is a game-changer, and Yuri and this salon hit every mark. I had the most amazing experience at 29Eleven! I felt right at home with Yuri. We talked through my hair goals, current regimen, and changes I can make to reach them. She took her time throughout my silk press and explained everything she was doing and why. The other stylists were very kind and so much fun to talk to as well. Everyone seems so knowledgeable in their craft. I will DEFINITELY be back to try a few other services.

First I would like to say; I usually do not write bad reviews and do enjoy writing them and it took me almost two weeks to write this one. Also, I appreciate the kindness that was given by the stylist after my haircut and style. But, I was disappointed... I am natural hair girly who had just removed my locs and wanted a cut and style. Let's just say I came in wearing a scarf and after going to my car; I put the scarf back on. I arrived with the image of how I wanted my hair cut and styled but left looking nothing like the image. Now, I was not expecting a miracle and understand everyone cannot wear the same style but $160 later and after two days I had to go to a barber who had to fix the haircut and I achieved the style on my own. Again, Ashley was very kind but one side of my cut was higher than the other and the back was cut right. The style looked nothing like what I requested. Friends, family AND the barber were shocked. But, to be fair; I appreciated the steam treatment and shampoo and I am sure Ashley is good at silk presses on natural hair but; wash n go's, cuts, big chops and short natural styles you might need to try another stylist.

I booked a flexi-rod set with Yuri, and I can confidently say I’ve found my Austin hairstylist. For reference, I have 4C natural hair, and it can be hard to find someone who truly cares for your hair. Yuri did exactly that. Not only is she amazing, but I also watched the other stylists care for a wide range of clients’ hair with the same attention and integrity that Yuri gave mine. From perms and locs to flat twists and two-strand twists, they’ve got you covered..

I should have stayed with Tiffany when I first met her years ago! I forgot how involved she is with her clients and the level of expertise she holds. I came back for her to take care of my natural hair and get it healthy again. Best decision EVER. The customer service from everyone is top-notch. Sharia did an amazing job on my relaxed hair. I went in for a post protective style hair care treatment because I took my two month old braids out the day before. Sharia gave me the BEST care. Sitting for a shampoo was amazing, I almost fell asleep but didn’t because she cleaned my scalp in the best way. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 She also gave me a much needed trim and styled it well. Book Sharia. Thank you to Ms. Tiffany of 29Eleven The Salon for her labor of love on my hair. After over 9 years, I decided to end my natural hair journey and get a relaxer. I truly believe 29Eleven The Salon is the best place to go in the Austin/Round Rock area to receive this service! The same amount of care and gentleness you would take doing your own hair at home is what you will receive under Tiffany's care. More Remarks: 5 Stars: Professionalism & Business Procedures: 29Eleven the Salon are extremely professional and courteous. From the owner to the receptionist, there wasn't a moment where I didn't feel like I was at a top-level salon. They have an efficient process of handling clients from the booking process to when you walk out the door. Tiffany, the owner, runs a smooth operation and if you value clear communication you'll experience that as well at 29Eleven. 5 Stars: Consultation & Relaxer: I decided to book a consultation to give Tiffany a chance to access my hair before my relaxer appointment to ensure my hair was healthy enough to be relaxed. During the consultation, Tiffany went through the history of my hair and asked questions. It was refreshing to experience working with a stylist who was so inquisitive and active in the evaluation of my hair. I knew then that I had found the right stylist to continue my healthy hair journey. Once the day came for me to receive the relaxer everything went just as smoothly as the consultation. After surpassing the COVID-19 screening my scalp was prepped and Tiffany began processing my hair. Tiffany paid very close attention to my problem areas and ends that had been stretched from silk presses. I had three different curl patterns and Tiffany relaxed each texture to look like one without stripping all the texture. I wanted a little bit of texture to help keep some fullness since I have naturally fine hair and Tiffany achieved that. More importantly, Tiffany is the most thorough hairstylist I've ever encountered. I could rave on and on about my experience. 5 Stars: Social Experience: Everyone felt like family or instant girlfriends engaging with each other. I loved it! 5 Stars: COVID-19 Procedures: In the midst of the pandemic many of us are avoiding going to salons out of fear of being exposed to COVID-19 myself included. I witnessed so many efforts to prevent exposure at 29Eleven. They check temperatures, enforce hand washing once you enter, and disinfect stations after each area is used. Not only that but everyone wears a mask. I felt so safe being there. Overall, Tiffany believes in doing what's necessary to keep every strand of hair healthy. I loved my experience at her salon and wouldn't go to anyone else!
