I have NEVER left a bad review before, especially for a hair professional but I am absolutely appalled at what happened to my daughters hair today… and I am a 20+ year Cosmetologist! To give background for this appointment; We are temporarily in the area while our home is being remodeled and in my rental it is too risky to do color (white quartz surfaces everywhere), it is also against DCA regulations. So I actually hoped onto Yelp to get recommendations for my daughters color. I DID NOT send a message to this salon, they messaged ME. I will include photos. In my initial inquiry I actually detailed exactly what formula I had used before, length, stats, everything. Mind you this color was being done for a special occasion/graduation festival, HUGE TRIP. Fast forward we did a consultation, and met with Sharon. I showed Sharon photos of Caitlins hair prior with the formula I had used, and gave her exact colors. Sharon seemed confident she could do it, and we agreed on a price NOT TO EXCEED $300-350. Keep in mind this is simply single process bleach (virgin hair meaning full outgrowth no chemicals) and then deposit only vivid blue. These are not expensive nor complex products if done properly. Fast forward 2 weeks and Caitlin is in the chair. Sharon used so much product, she had overlap and bleach on the floor… yet didn’t either time or mix it properly for the client because low and behold… orange and brown. Next, discolored yellow, even after the SECOND bleaching! Then she says to ME "you may want to do it again"…. THEN after taking way to long to bleach I left, came back to find the blue going in FINALLY. Again product being slopped on and wasted all over the place. However not my salon not my mess right? WRONG. After 4 hours I had to leave to get my other kids from school so I asked if I could pay in advance and let them know Caitlins Dad would be picking her up. I scanned the QR at the station, left $50 in Zelle tip, I get to the register and it’s charged at $400!!! Why?! FOR EXTRA PRODUCT I am told and extra time! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I know how much its costs, I am licensed. Then my daughter gets home, COVERED IN BLUE and with hot roots and uneven hair!!! Now she is totally devastated and I have to redye it ANYWAY!! I have never been so disturbed by a salon, and I truly hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I really didn’t want to make a review because my hair stylist was so nice but I absolutely hate my hair and it is definitely not worth $75 dollars. I showed reference pictures and even a picture of my old bangs I had at one point that I just wanted back. I asked for light wispy bangs but I do have a side part so I understood they were going to be heavy on one side. I should’ve known when she said "oh curtain bangs" that I was not going to get what I asked for. She cut my hair in the middle and I get why they do that but I have and will never part my hair in the middle so it just makes my hair look uneven when I put it to the side. She then proceeds to cut a middle section to my chin, I’m guessing how you would curtain bangs and slowly starts going more up. It’s not looking right and she just keeps cutting and I get so nervous I’m like okay just forget the curtain bang and just do bangs until you reach at the shortest middle of my eyebrows. I hate how it’s looking and I literally told the girl that it was fine at one point and I really wished she would’ve just stopped touching it but she said, "no, I want you to leave here happy." End of the story, I left with super choppy thick bangs that are above my eyebrows and I even say it’s okay they’ll grow out to try to make myself feel better but it’s so bad.

Today I treated myself to a balayage, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Venera was the stylist who worked her magic, and she truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel at ease with her kind personality and clear expertise. She took her time, listened to what I wanted, and delivered a result that looks effortlessly beautiful. The color is blended perfectly, and the overall style feels fresh and natural. I’m honestly so impressed with her work—Venera is amazing at what she does!

I would not recommend this salon!! There was a problem with communication and I explained I wanted partial highlights, and I did say that I wanted it to look natural and just on the top. I checked with the stylist when I felt she was doing too many foils and she confirmed it was only partial highlights. I have spoken to many people since this happened, and everyone has confirmed that what was done was dying half my hair and not partial highlights. It looks terrible. They did offer to try and fix it for free, but I do not have any trust it will be corrected in the way I ask. Now I need to spend a significant amount of money to get it fixed by a trusted stylist and Level Posh refused to refund me for the partial highlight service. They have made it sound like it was my fault. I have never had this problem, I have never had to find and show a picture of what I wanted. I have made sure to never have so much of my hair dyed because I did not want it damaged, now I have to have it dyed again in an attempt to restore my natural color. The color was correct, my request for partial highlights on the top that looked natural was not. Half my hair was dyed.

Highly highly recommended this hair salon. Found out this place through Instagram and decided to give a try. Tetynan definitely knows what she was doing and she is very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the way my hair came out and the price was pretty fair. I like their shampoo products set and they sells in store if you want to purchase them. Again, definitely recommended will come back again! Such a wonderful experience!
