Hair Etc By Vee

I had my hair done by Vee it turned out nice but I just wanted to mention a couple of things. My consult was scheduled on Saturday before my appointment on Tuesday. On Saturday she was an hour late, when I got into the salon she had another client sitting waiting. She then told me to sit in her chair, but then proceeded to wash the clients hair so then I had to wait again. My appointment was 11am and didn't get out of there until 12:30pm very unprofessional. Despite my better judgment I went back on Tuesday. She seemed to be in better spirits but I felt she over charged me. She charged me $95 on top of $25 deposited. Isn't the deposit supposed to be deducted from the cost of service. Also I felt she cut too much of my hair and then put some black filler powder saying there were spots you can see my scalp. My scalp was itching so bad I had to wash my hair. Never again.

Absolutely amazing. I wasn’t able to go the day I scheduled for but got in a day after my appointment was supposed to be. Vee is very patient and understanding of any and all circumstances. She was able to do my hair even those it was to short and I wasn’t aware before she told me that It was. I was sadly 30 min late due to me living so far away and went to the wrong address. But over all she is the BEST hair tech I’ve ever went to. Sadly I only have the option to give her 5 stars but I’d personally give her 10 stars.

I met Vanessa a year ago after searching Rochester area for a hairdresser who could do relaxers. I relocated here to Rochester last year. I love that she is very knowledgeable and always keep up to date on the changing and increasing demands of hair condition and treatments. Since going to Hair Etc. by Vee I have seen such growth and just much more health in my hair. I like the ease of booking your hair care needs. Her website is very user friendly. She also does not over book, so she really gives you the attention you deserve. Vanessa is very professional and her shop makes you feel comfortable. My hair is naturally thick and long. I got a frontal Barbie doll pony tail with a shampoo, condition, and steam treatment 👌🏾. The whole process was amazing!! The wash almost put me to sleep, whatever conditioner she uses has peppermint in it and it had my scalp feeling sensational!!🤤🤤 In the end I left with my hair laid to the gods. I’ve received many compliments and it lasted two whole weeks. It could have lasted longer but I was ready for a change. I definitely recommend coming to Hair Etc By Vee for all your hair care needs. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been going to Vee for almost 2 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I got the crochet braids this time and loved them. She takes her time with her clients and gets to know them. Especially their likes and dislikes pertaining to their hair. The fact that I can book online is also a huge plus! She’s a talented hair stylist and I have never been disappointed with my hair or my daughter’s hair.

On Friday I got extensions for my first time due to a bald spot, Vee covered it up and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my hair. She covered the bald spot I unfortuently ended up with and I can wear my hair down again. She takes time to discuss what’s best for her client. I trust her opinion and I’m looking forward to continuing to have her do my hair.

I need to start by saying that I am a huge supporter of black owned businesses and that the Rochester area does not have a lot of beatuy salons that cater to the black community but in the end I was not pleased with the services provided. Overall, she's wasn't very professional. She was late to my hair appointment and was drinking alcohol the entire time. I wouldn't have mind so much if she was nursing a glass of wine for the duration of my appointment., but by the time I left she was Clearly tipsy. This was my experience and other people may have different experiences but I felt the need to share mine.
