The owner of Hair Haven & Company, Tara is so professional and knowledgeable,. An expert in natural hair, partners with you on your short term and long term hair journey plan. She uses quality products and provides guidance on home hair care as well. She followed up the next day to see if I had any questions. Where do I begin?!!!! This was BY FAR one of, if not THE, best hair connoisseur experiences I have ever had. Her salon is gorgeous and cozy, her energy is so positive and she is so knowledgeable, caring, and a breath of fresh air! When it comes to the explanation of good hair care and what will be needed on an ongoing basis, trust she knows her curly girls. She got my hair so fresh and so clean, laid it to the heavens with minimum heat and was even able to pull out the black dye I had in my hair (rinse) to reveal my true color. This was my first but definitely NOT my last time with Tara as she will be helping me to bring my curls back to life. I found my forever stylist and it was by pure coincidence. Book her NOW, you will not be sorry🤗!

Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure to try out the services. I had a very poor experience with the owner via text. I booked an appointment with the owner and with ample time before the appointment. She requested information that I couldn’t provide. In fairness I asked that she cancel the appointment and refund the deposit as I cancelled the appointment 1 hour after scheduling the appointment and over 24 before appointment yet instead of refunding the deposit she replied with a rude and snide comment that were no refunds. As a business leader myself and seeing that there were ample appointments available I assume that creating obstacles for new clients and inflexibility could be a hindrance. I’m sure she is a great stylist, maybe slightly lacking in business acumen I hope she does well.

I can’t say enough about the service that I receive at Hair haven! I started coming here in September 2021 after being abroad in very dry heat for the last 6 years and a few months after having my hair bleached. Not only is the space super cute, chic & comfy, Tara provided a very comprehensive consultation with me about my hair. She is very personable and provided knowledge that I’ve never had about my hair, and I’ve been wearing my hair natural for almost 15 years. The education was definitely unmatched. I quickly decided to subscribe to her monthly hydrate package and saw my hair change drastically after my first month of going weekly! My hair looked and felt hydrated with a great shine! Initially, I would get my hair blown out then twisted. Although I was getting the heat weekly, My hair was really flourishing…quickly. Fast forward: in March I birthed a beautiful babygirl & was unable to go to the salon for about 5 weeks & naturally neglected my hair during that time. I returned to Hair haven & was blown away with the time and care Tara put into rejuvenating my hair. It’s been over 10 years since I entertained the idea of a wash and go, but I was open to Tara trying her method on my hair as I had previously felt that I didn’t have "wash & go" hair. To my surprise, here I am 4 weeks later and just had my second wash & go from Tara yesterday! I really can’t quantify how much it means to have a stylist that listens & puts so much love and attention into my tresses! She is so skilled at her craft & her passion is evident! I can’t wait until my next appointment!

Ohhh...we've been silk press sisters for over a year now!!! More importantly my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Tara's first objective is keeping your hair and your scalp healthy. I have no heat damage and no scalp issues. Haven't had any since I've been going to her. The products she uses are top notch. Your search is over. You won't be disappointed!

Tara is so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable about what the hair needs and what will keep it healthy. She explained everything she was doing and using and also has some of the products available for purchase in the salon. My hair felt and looked amazing afterwards. I specifically struggle with my hair not retaining moisture and after I left, my curls were hydrated and thriving!

Tara is very professional and knowledgeable. In the past I relied a lot on protective styles for both my daughter and I mainly because I felt managing our natural hair was "too much".Tara is so patient and understanding, she takes her time not only styling our hair but educating us about different products and techniques which allows me to maintain our hair between appointments. I highly recommend!
