I waited over a year to write this review because I honestly didn’t have the courage to relive the experience but I feel it’s important to share. I went to Lvl Up to get my hair dyed. Before anything started, I was very clear and upfront with my stylist. I explained exactly what I had previously done to my hair and told her: "If, in your professional opinion, my hair is not ready to be bleached again, please be honest and let me know. I will completely understand and leave" She assured me my hair was "perfect" and that it would be fine. About an hour and a half into the process, I started smelling my hair burning and mentioned it. She checked and told me, "Oh, your hair isn’t reacting well to it" but then followed it with "It’s okay, I’ll just put a mask on and you’ll be fine." In a shaky voice, I agreed because I trusted her professional judgment. When my hair was placed in the bowl, I pulled out my phone to look and immediately saw my hair coming out in clumps, breaking off, and filling the bowl. It was shocking and extremely upsetting to witness in real time. What made the situation even more frustrating is that the mask used after the damage occurred was charged to me, despite it being necessary because my hair had been compromised during the service. On top of that, I was charged for the full service, even though my hair was clearly damaged and I was not even properly styled. I was told she was running late and asked if I could leave with just blow dried hair. I went in asking for honesty and was assured my hair was ready, only for it to be damaged during the process and still charged as if everything went normally. This experience left me feeling dismissed, distressed, and taken advantage of. I’m sharing this not out of malice, but because experiences like this are incredibly distressing and clients deserve honesty, caution, and accountability especially when it comes to chemical services that can permanently damage someone’s hair.

Lexi did such a great job with my blonde - brunette transformation!! She was so knowledgeable about different hair colors, color combinations and products and I left feeling more informed about my hair and the best ways to take care of it. She took different thoughts and ideas and transformed them into hair that I absolutely love. Can't recommend her enough and can't wait to come back!

I went and got my hair done today by the amazing Katie, she seriously was so amazing and listened to everything I requested and also recommended stuff when I didn’t know what I wanted. She was always making sure that I was comfortable and asking if I wanted a drink or a snack and was just overall such an amazing experience. I have never felt more comfortable with a stylist before! I highly recommend going to Katie she’s such an amazing stylist!! I definitely will be coming back! (From a dirty blonde/brown to black and white chunky highlights. I am in love! 💖

I found Lvlup when I needed help fixing a corner of my extension that had come loose. They were able to get me in right away! All the stylists were super friendly. The stylist that originally helped me left the salon abruptly but another stylist quickly picked me up as a client. I see Lexi for my extensions and color. She is fabulous! She has fixed some issues that I previously had and it has helped with hair regrowth as well.

Awesome staff, however the results I got from both times I went in to have my hair colored were unsatisfying to say the least. I went in to get my blondes refreshed and they came out so warm it was almost orange to me. I was wanting a more strawberry color and maybe even a bit of pink undertone, but I walked away feeling like she hadn’t heard my request at all. I thought it had just been a fluke or maybe my hair was taking a warmer tone. A month or so after however, I went back to get a chocolate brown instead. Unfortunately that did not happen. I ended up with a blueish black tint and uneven color especially by my roots. I get that it can be difficult to keep every tone even, but this was ridiculous. I felt like I walked away with a completely different result than the images I showed, and the color I requested. To add to that my hair cut was unfortunately choppier than I’d prefer and grew out to really showcase that. Definitely not coming back. Also they DO NOT take returns for the products you purchase. Wouldn’t recommend, even though the staff was lovely.

This is a super cute salon. It was our first time here and my daughter had Katie as her stylist, she did an amazing job! My daughter got blonde highlights, and a blowout. Katie was super nice and friendly, we will definitely be going back to her again.😍

Jaden was incredible to work with! Such a good experience for a total refresh on my hair. He listened to what I wanted, what I definitely didn't want, and what I was looking for color-wise and he knocked it out of the park! So kind, friendly, explained the process, and ensured I had a drink and snack for an extra special touch. What a lovely experience and I LOVE my hair! Absolutely recommend, for any coloring services you must see my guy Jaden!!
