As an East Coast bride planning a destination wedding in Fallbrook, CA, finding vendors I truly connected with and who shared my vision was incredibly important to me. From the very beginning, Sarah stood out. She eagerly took the time to hop on the phone, walk through my ideas, and thoughtfully answer all of my questions; never once making me feel pressured to move forward before I was ready. After signing the contract, Sarah was more than accommodating in scheduling my makeup trial while I was in California for my final wedding details. That trial was the first time I got to know her on a more personal level, and the connection we built over those hours was invaluable. My mom and mother-in-law also had trials with Sarah, and all three of us walked away feeling completely confident and excited about our decision to work with her. In the weeks leading up to the big day, Sarah worked seamlessly with my hairstylist and her team to create a smooth, well-organized timeline for me and my bridal party. On the wedding day itself, she was a calming, comforting presence that allowed me to truly relax and enjoy every moment. She also brought along an incredible assistant—and for the first time in all the weddings I’ve been part of (five!), every single girl loved her makeup. Sarah’s work is absolutely stunning. She delivered my exact vision: soft, natural, and perfectly bronzed glam. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more talented artist.

Sarah Mae was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I first met her when I was a bridesmaid at one of my best friend’s weddings, and I instantly fell in love with her work. I knew right then that I had to hire her for my own wedding. When I got engaged, she was the very first vendor I reached out to - I knew I had to lock her in ASAP! She is professional, kind, and so much fun to be around. She truly helped me craft my vision, and on my wedding day I felt like it was the most beautiful I had ever looked. My makeup lasted all night with only minor touch-ups, which is every bride’s dream. At my preview appointment, she took so much time to really understand what I wanted. She even made the experience extra special by asking what music I’d like to listen to and creating such a fun, relaxed vibe. On the wedding day, she went above and beyond, even capturing two incredible videos of the process that I now get to cherish with my friends and family. Not only did she do my makeup, but she also did the makeup for several of my bridesmaids and family members (including my mom) and they all absolutely raved about how stunning they felt. Everyone looked flawless, and the looks lasted beautifully throughout the night. She also recommended my hairstylist - Tiffany Doherty (@scissors_n_spice), who was equally amazing, and together they made me feel so confident and beautiful. Truly, she is the best makeup artist I’ve ever worked with. I would hire her again in a heartbeat for any makeup styling needs!

I truly cannot recommend Sarah enough! She is so talented and such a lovely person. She’s not only great at application, but also knows how to make sure the makeup lasts all day, and my makeup looked amazing from the beginning to the end of my wedding night. Sarah was super helpful in giving me direction for my look, and while I had a general idea of what I wanted, she helped me refine it into the perfect look for my wedding day. I’ve truly never looked better or felt so confident. Along with her skill, she is incredibly kind and laid-back, which made spending so much of the day with her really easy and fun. I booked the bride-only package, and it was a relief to have someone so calm and professional helping me throughout the day. I had kind of forgotten that she mentioned the bride-only package included taking iPhone photos when/where she could throughout the day, so it was such a pleasant surprise when she shared hundreds of really well taken and beautiful iPhone photos with me the next day. They were a special bonus and were amazing to have while waiting for my photographer’s gallery. AND she also applied a little color correction to my now husband’s lovely face sunburn that he got the day before…and it looked SO much better. Truly a life saver. Words cannot describe how amazing Sarah Mae is as a makeup artist. From beginning to end, she was extremely professional, kind, and relaxed person to be around. As someone who rarely applied makeup, she patiently listened to my requests and adjusted my makeup from trial to wedding day effortlessly, and at the same time gave honest, thoughtful feedback on what works and what wouldn't work. Her vast experience doing bridal makeup has made me feel so reassured and beautiful on my wedding day. She expertly highlighted my features without the overall makeup being overdone. My makeup lasted for over 8 hours and photographed well. On my wedding day, she was extremely efficient and got us ready on time, adhering to her timeline. Sarah will take care of you, and all you would need to worry about is celebrating your day and creating memories with your girls 🙂

On a normal basis, I hardly wear any makeup and I was nervous since I haven’t done any professional makeup since prom! Sarah eased all of my fears and was amazing and so patient during my two bridal trials! My advice is to definitely go alone since my mom (I love her) came to the first and it was what she wanted, but my second was what I wanted and i absolutely loved it! It was an absolute joy to work with Sarah and my bridesmaids loved her too! My bridal makeup and my bridesmaids’ makeup looked absolutely amazing! I was repeatedly told I looked like an angel and/or a princess or even both! My groom couldn’t take his eyes off me and told me how beautiful I looked the whole ceremony, and I have never felt more beautiful in my whole life. Sarah is amazing!! She did my wedding make-up and I have never felt more beautiful. She also did my wedding party including my mother and mother-in-law, who both have neverrr liked professional make-up done on them in the past, and they were speechless! She was so easy to work with from trial through wedding day as well.
