As always my experience was EXCELLENT. The salon is clean, light and airy. My stylist asked important questions about my hair health and my style preferences. My shampoo was thoroughly and left my scalp feeling great. And my twist style was exactly what I wanted/expected.

I had my microlocs installed last month, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Clarissa is extremely professional, very knowledgeable, and takes the time to make sure everything is done correctly. The quality of her work speaks for itself. She is truly the best, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering microlocs.

I tried Taji Salon because a friend recommended it, and while my first visit ended with decent service, the experience left me uneasy. I arrived on time but wasn’t greeted, and had to wait over 30 minutes past my appointment before the stylist started. The service itself was fine, but the lack of professionalism stood out. On my second visit, things went downhill. I booked an 8 AM Saturday appointment two days in advance, only to be asked less than 24 hours before to move it to 9 AM. I agreed, but later that same day I was told the stylist might not be available at all, and maybe they could fit me in around 11. The person on the phone questioned the package I booked—even though it was the same one I had used before—and their tone felt dismissive, as if I was the inconvenience. Since they were the ones changing the times, I asked about cancellation fees and was told there wouldn’t be one, so the appointment was canceled. I was disappointed, especially since I had an event planned that day and had been considering booking a loc consultation in the future. If you value professionalism, respect for your time, and clear communication, I cannot recommend Taji Salon.

Tiffany did an amazing job! Not only did she style my hair beautifully, but the way she washed my locs was so relaxing one of the best washes I’ve had. She was attentive, professional, and made sure I left feeling great. Highly recommend her!

If you have 4C Natural hair do not go to this salon they do not know how to take care of it. I received a wash, blow dry, trim, and the cornrows above for $115. The majority of my visit I was in pain. It was clear the stylist had not worked with 4C hair before, she said my hair was "really thick". She was combing from root to end instead of end to root. There was a moment when the front desk lady told her to check on me because "her client seemed to be experiencing pain". These are feed-in braids, not enough hair used at all. It is not secured well in certain sections of the hair are not braided in completely either(look at the bottom of both braids). I have gone to hair salons and gotten this style countless times in the past with my 4C hair and never had any issues. Update 1/10/2022 The salon reached out to me for a refund of the purchase. I really appreciate their professionalism and respect.

I’ve been a client of this salon for the last two years on and off and have always appreciated their work, but my most recent experience left me disappointed. I had to cancel my appointment the morning of due to testing positive for COVID, and I understand their policy about the non-refundable 50% deposit. However, I called Monday morning no answer left a voicemail explaining the situation and that I was open to rescheduling. Even if I lost my $60 deposit. Unfortunately, I never received a call back—not even to acknowledge the cancellation or follow up in any way. I completely respect the business needing to enforce policies, but a simple return call would have gone a long way in showing that customer care still matters.
