I went there for second time. The first time I went just for a hair cut and it was ok. But this time I did highlights and the experience was awful. First of all, I arrived at 12:30 and I was seeing at 1:30. I left the saloon at 6:30pm. She did a horrendous work there were parts of my hair were I didn’t have any highlights and the highlights were harsh. I didn’t notice this because she curled my hair, but as soon as I washed and it was straigh. I perceived. I did asked her that I need to leave by 5 and literally she left me myself for more than 40 min with my hair damp. When I started texting her asking where are you, my back is damp, and that I was running out of time, she said that I can leave damp. It was everything damp my hair and sweeter. By the way my sweeter were damaged. After I complaint she said that I can comeback and she will dry my hair. She did dry it and charge me $ 170 for the highlife when she at the beginning told me it was $130. In summary, she is ok for a quick haircut, but not for anything else. Mrs Gee you should be more careful and take your job serious

I struggled with whether I should right this review as I’m sure everyone experience is different.Well my usual stylist had relocated so I was looking for another one when I seen the reviews jc seemed perfect and I didn’t care about the price as long as I was happy. Which I was reassured I would be and it look like the picture well I wasn’t even before it was finished I thought it didn’t look right but I was new to microbraids but first I’ll start with the goodMy experience the hair stylist was really nice to me when I arrived she tried to get me done in a good amount of time by having herself and another stylist braid my hair for the first hour 1/2, the atmosphere was nice the rooms are private.but once I sat down my quoted price went up 30$ cause I had natural thick hair she said mind you it didn’t effect the length of time it took to braid it or the size. I was done in less than 5 hrs money is expected before service is rendered so if you don’t like it like in my situation your stuck with it just be cautious I did get small microbraids that didn’t at all look like the ones I wanted after showing numerous pictures to me it looked like a bunch of worms. Even my clients said it’s stuck in place I just expected more for 200 dollars as I said I could have got this done for 1/3 the cost from a front porch beautician and looked better. Everyone has sad that seen it it looks ok but that’s it and when they find out what I paid they say no it’s doesn’t look that good so I’m not alone. It has been in about 2 1/2 weeks I’ve lost 2 braids and couple more toward the rear looking to urn loose. But I have to say when I complained she did apologize and was very curtious not to the point of refund or fixing the hair style but that she would take it down for me.I’m hoping I don’t have to pay for that I’ll keep you updated it has been a inconvenience cause I was stuck weeks wearing it cause I didn’t want to loose my money and have to get it took out in less than a month cause I refuse to wear it like this to my sons graduation 😐 I’ll post pics too

Alexis with Exposed Hair Design is the absolute best! I would recommend her any day!!! She not only does my everyday cut and color, etc but she did my hair for my wedding and I got so many compliments!!!

Fafa does an amazing job with braids. Each time she braids my hair, I get so many compliments. They are neat and takes no shortcuts. She is amazingly professional and ensures top notch customer service. If you are in doubt about employing her services, please rest assured that she is the best around! Believe me...

The building is very clean. Wonderful atmosphere. The front desk lady was VERY nice and professional. Hairstylist FaFa(Fatou Diop) did my crochet braids and she did an AWESOME job! This is my 2nd time going to her. The first time she did box braids and they were AWESOME as well. FaFa is very professional and knowledgeable.

I was in shocked when I read the comment below! I'm so glad the owner responded to show it was not real. I don't know why someone would do that. I have been getting my hair done by Abe for years and he is nothing but fabulous!!! He has been doing hair for over 30 years, has been published in magazines and has a strong and loyal clientele. My mom now goes to him, my sister, my brothers girlfriend and lots of my friends! I have long hair and he always gives me a flawless cut and gorgeous blonde highlights! We also add in pink, teal and blue on my ends sometimes! Although my friends and family are much more classic and conservative he always delivers no matter what we ask for! As for JC salons the building is beautiful and they seem to have something for everyone. If for some reason you can't get in with Abe; Sonja and Theresa (they have worked at other salons Abe worked at so I've seen their work) are always amazing stylist! So to whoever wrote that review...shame on you. No matter what your hair looks like jealousy isn't flattering on anyone!

I'm follower of Mr. Abe for 15+ years. I don't need hair cut as much as some folks because I keep my hair long but whenever I visit him Abe never disappointed me because he knows what style works best for me. My hair cut appointment tends to be last minutes as I travel a lot but he always accommodates schedule for me and even gave me a free hair treatment last time while I was waited the customer before me. I always leave the salon with fresh look with full of confidence. Thanks to Abe.
