A Cut Above Hair Salon

I love this place! Heather is the only person I’ve had cut my hair over the last 5 years, and probably the only person who I’ll go to for the next 5 years. I am someone who struggles with trichtillomania (I obsessively pull my hair out) which makes hair cuts for me really hard. The weird questions and comments I get at other places don’t happen here. She has always been a safe space and judgement free zone. No matter how many bald or uneven spots I show up with - she makes it work. And beautifully too. She has done amazing buzz cuts for me when I was at my worst, as well and perfect trims and cute bobs when my hair was super long. I never thought I’d find a place like this. Beyond thankful. She is wonderful.

I went for side and back shave....enclosing pictures........ you decide. When I realized what had happened there was no hair left to fix. Will have to wear hair to that side to cover while it grows out. So, even though I was told Mary had 25yrs experience, it clearly wasn't in clipper cutting.

I was nervous trying out a new salon and new person working in my hair. Mary did an amazing job! Appreciate her a lot! They were able to get me half an earlier than scheduled time. Calm quiet ambiance, felt relaxing. I will definitely go again.

It’s been years since I’ve colored my hair. I decided I wanted some subtle highlights and color to add depth to my curls and was leaning towards a red violet color. Needless to say, I was extremely nervous. At my color consultation with Chris, I showed her pictures of hair colors that caught my eye. She listened while I explained why I was anxious and she helped me come up with the perfect color and plan for my color appointment. We chose to go with some highlights and all over color using balayage. She took before and after pictures.. and seriously, when she showed me the after pictures I asked her if that was really my hair!! It’s beautiful! I am so happy with how it turned out! Chris is extremely gifted with her art and did such an amazing job! 😊 Another thing I want to say is this salon has such a happy atmosphere! All the employees were laughing and talking amongst each other and with their clients.. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely return! Thank you Chris! You are a gifted artist and have a great eye for helping your client find want they want and need! I am very pleased/proud of how my color turned out!

I love this salon, as it isn’t pretentious, yet the hairdresser I see there does a fantastic job. Chris is by far the best hairdresser I’ve ever had. She is talented and thorough but fast. She also does her continuing education to keep up on the latest skills. I don’t need a scalp massage or a psychotherapy session from my hairdresser, just good work done on my hair. She does this, without the unneeded frills that I have gotten in the highest end salons in the city. Thank you!!

Hands down the best salon Iv ever been to. Most recently Mary cut my hair and it was by far one of my favorite cuts! I have very curly hair and never go out without doing it. She had done such an amazing job that I could literally do zero styling and be 100% happy with leaving the house! I have had my hair cut, or dyed by every employee at least once and would recommend every single one of them! Also my favorite mani/pedi spot! Recently they started doing facials which I highly recommend, I left feeling SO relaxed and refreshed!!
