Anna's Hair Salon

The worst highlighting experience I've ever had. Anna did not listen to my request for minimal highlights. I explained how I prefer more of my natural color and just would like minimal highlights to give my hair more dimension. She proceeded to do the highlights without listening my requests. My hair turned out way too blond- ruining the efforts I've made over the last 12 months to allow more of my natural color. Additionally, I had a similar result to another reviewer, the color did not extend to the root. The result of that is that I have a visible sharp line near the root where the color is extremely blond highlight. I have made an appointment at my regular salon back in new york state to have my hair corrected next week. She also does something I've never had a stylist do; bang on the foils with the broad side of a comb. When that is happening at your head and around your ears it's just a little annoying. She insisted it was necessary. If so, why have none of my other stylists done this?

I highly recommend this salon! Anna is incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure you are happy with the results. The service is exceptional, and the welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a great experience. I am 100% satisfied and will definitely be coming back!

I’m from NY visiting my daughter and was looking for a place to get a haircut for us both. Found Anna’s place online. It was close and I liked the website and the reviews. I must say I totally agree. Anna was wonderful. Because we never go to anyone else than a friend I went first just to make sure my daughter wouldn’t be unhappy. I told her what I liked and she did way better that what I ever would have expected! (The look my own hair dresser….friend hadn’t done!) When we arrived she was doing an older ladies hair and that woman stayed throughout and it turned out she was kinda watching her till her daughter could return (so sweet) My daughters hair came out wonderful as well. We had a great time chatting it up and sharing laughs. She loves what she does and she’s damn good at it too! I will be returning on my visits back to Pompano beach for sure! Thank you so much Anna!

Anna is a good hairdresser but the salon has serious scheduling problems. First time, Anna’s daughter scheduled me, I took time off from work and drove 30 minutes. When I got there they said I was not on the schedule and they closed the door on my face. I thought it was mistake and a few weeks later I decided to give them another chance. This time, I had called, spoken to Anna, even asked about her trip and when I showed up for the appointment she said I was not on her schedule. I had to convince her that we talked on the phone. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in my life! No customer deserves this type of treatment. I wish you all the best Anna but I will never be back.

Walking into Anna's for the first time it was so clean and great music. She changed my life. She did a wonderful style and highlights I Iooked younger. I would recommend everyone to Anna's she is a great colorist and stylist and a wonderful person. She loves what she does and it shows.

Anna and her daughter are very nice. You can see the care they have for the clients that walk through their door. And for that, they're receiving the stars that I give. My hair on the other hand didn't come out the way I hoped. I went into the salon in hopes that I could dye my hair a darker violet. I was told that they didn't have the color and that I would also have to get highlights to get the full coverage of the purple. I was okay with just getting a haircut and coming back for the color but then Anna remembered that they had just ordered some for someone else that wanted to do the same color. And she said we could do it. So here we go...she did the highlights in my hair and I've gotten highlights before. It didn't feel the same this time in two instances...I didn't feel her separate out my hair at the root for the highlights and I was under the dryer for definitely more than half an hour. Even then, I was still optimistic since I was going with a dark purple that it'll cover it up if anything. Anna mixed the color but it didn't seem like she mixed the one she told me she was going to use. She was using a lilac color which is a lighter purple. But after she put it on my head, my hair was looking a little darker while it was processing. After she washed it out though and I sat in the seat...I barely saw any purple. Even another client said she didn't see the purple. Anna told me I would have to come back in a week so that she could strip it and add the color back in to get the full coverage I was looking for. She didn't charge me but the damage was already done. My scalp is still on fire and it's been two days. I've gotten my hair colored with the purple before and the process was different than what I experienced at Anna's. I should have stuck with my normal hair stylist but wanted to try somewhere new and closer to home with great reviews. So it's my fault from the start but I went home crying. If you need a haircut, then Anna's is great for that. No complaints on that part of my experience. But with color, I would be cautious.

Anna is amazing. She was able to accommodate me into her busy schedule. I had such a frizzy, football hairdue going on and in a matter of minutes she transformed my hair into a chic look. I feel amazing and I love my new style. Thank you Anna!
