I recently visited a salon for a haircut and color service, and I left really disappointed. I paid around $200, and unfortunately the results were nothing like what I showed in the reference photo. My hair was cut much shorter than I asked for, which was really upsetting. On top of that, the base color dye I requested didn’t turn out how it should have — the shade was off and didn’t match what we discussed at all. The price and the outcome just didn’t match. I really wish there had been better communication and attention to what I asked for.

The only place in Dallas that actually knows how to cut bangs properly. I once went to a Korean salon that charged $100 and completely ruined my bangs—it was so bad I dreaded turning on my camera for Zoom meetings every day. Here, the Japanese stylists saved me. They know exactly how to cut bangs, and they even fixed my friend’s hair after it was messed up elsewhere. Truly a lifesaver!

I visited this Japanese hair salon and had an overall pleasant experience. The salon itself is very clean and inviting, which I really appreciated. The shampoo and scalp massage were especially relaxing and felt really luxurious. The hairdresser was very kind and professional, making the experience enjoyable. However, I did have one issue with the haircut. I asked for a wolf cut, but unfortunately, it was cut much shorter than I expected. Even after a year and a half of growth, my hair has only just reached the same length as it was when I first got it cut. While the price was very affordable for the service, I do wish they had paid a bit more attention to the length. Still, for the value and the friendly service, it was an okay experience overall.

I’ve been going to Arukas for over a year now and can honestly say I do not trust anyone else with my hair. Nana has taken such good care of me from day one. Shop is small but feels personable!! Nana gives me a head massage with essential oils and a small back massage too as part of the service.

They used Olaplex for bleaching and coloring, which is a highly recommended product. However, the color they did was completely different from what I expected. I did bleaching twice and dying twice, and sit there for almost 7 hours. None of the color was even close to the picture I showed. I saw recommendation on Red and came to this store, but felt disappointed with it. I have been feeling sad these days and have to post my experience. QAQ
