Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Pembroke Pines

First time at Madison Reed, and I chose the Pembroke Pines location. I had a consultation with Lisa, store manager, and she was super helpful, understanding of my needs and reassured me that I would be very happy with their service. The day came and I was very nervous, as I have tried three other hair salons that charged me a ridiculous amount of money to do my hair with highlights, and they never got it right. I was very frustrated but Lisa git it right, actually perfect! She UNDERSTOOD and gave me the look I have been wanting for over two years trying out others. I am so happy with how my hair color and highlights look!!! LOL, I look gorgeous!!.. beyond happy!!!! You must try them out! I also added a blowdry and Cynthia was fabulous!!! Oh, and it didn't break the bank. So important!! Thank you Lisa!!! GOAT!!! ✨️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✨️

THORY!!! Please remember that name when you visit this location because she’s an absolute GEM! I have gone to her once before and my hair was lighter and her way of consulting with you from the beginning is so collaborative and she doesn’t assume she knows what you want! She’s always honest on what you can and can’t do, because she truly cares about your hair. Today she did a color correction to calm the reddish color from my hair since I went darker from a previous hair dresser. She did an amazing job and I know getting to the right color is a process so thanks so much THORY!

I had a vision- they had the tools! I either did my own hair at home or I went to a pricey salon so it was my first time at the actual Madison Reed salon....and boy did I like it. I had a stylist named Thorey. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She listened .. advised...discussed and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. Im convinced she knows black magic- she turned my hair into something im proud of! It wasn't outrageously expensive and I love the concept. 10/10- I'd go back.

Victoria my stylist did great with my highlights, Lisa the manager was friendly and attentive with my needs, and Leilany the assistant gave me a great head massage when shampooing and applying products. Great 1st experience visiting the bar. I can't believe after 5 years on an MD subscription and self applying, I never knew about this type of additional service. I am already recommending to all my friends.

So I really debated on writing this review or even going back to the salon, because ultimately I want my money back, but I am very disappointed with the service. Back story, I had a glaze done months ago and it turned lighter and lighter over time, my hair is dark brown and I dont do anything to it except fix my Grey hairs every once and a while, so I wanted to not only fix my Grey hairs but get back to my original dark hair. I was recommended this company and decided to book and see, I've never been here before first time. I booked an all over hair color to fix the lighter color in my hair that I hated. When the lady sat me down, she said ok you booked a root touch up and I corrected her and said no I booked an all over hair color I explained the situation and what I wanted done. She pulled out some hair colors and started talking about doing the roots and certain color so that it matched the lighter hair and it would grow in nice. I again corrected her and said I don't want the lighter color I want my dark hair color I want the grays fixed that's it, so we kind of went back-and-forth. I must have said the same thing about 3 times, and I thought we were at an understanding. First red flag, it took her about 10 minutes to put the hair color in and while that was fast I hope she got everything. Also keep in mind, I don't have a mirror in front of me at the "bar", I also was never explained the process, but she did say we would look at the color together after my wash. So She put the color in told me to sit for 45 and then disappeared. The lady came to get me to wash my hair and that was it. I went sat back and waited about 30 to almost 40 mins. Again uve never been at a salon like this. It was my first time so then someone approached me and asked if they could help me. I said I was waiting for the lady to come back because she said to me, After my hair wash, we would look at it and see how I felted. The lady then proceeded to tell me my stylist had left for the day she had something to go do and I apologize and said oh, I'm sorry I've never been here before, I'm not sure how this works And she explained it to me and was apologetic and very nice. I was already mortified and confused at this point, But I also told her that I wanted to do a blowout since it was my first time. The lady who did my blow out was also very sweet and nice, But the blowout was the worst blow I ever had in my life. I left with very frizzy hair. I could never imagine paying that price for what I got as far as a blowout. I left already disappointed but when I really got home to look in the mirror I was devastated. The hair color that I originally ask for was nothing of the sort.I now have four different colors in my hair when I just wanted my overall original color back and I still have a lot of gray hair. I'm now stuck with his hair that I absolutely hate, leaving a situation, very confused and knowing for sure that I was not being heard at all ultimately, just feeling defeated. I really just would love my money back. But I know that really never happens. So I felt like writing this review is the best that I can do. I get the concept of the salon and I think it's genius but unfortunately, when you have stylists like that and situations like this, it really shows a negative side of it.
