My experience with Kim has been amazing! She’s super sweet, professional, and always makes me feel comfortable in her chair. She gives great advice on how to maintain and keep my hair healthy between appointments, and my hair has been thriving since I started going to her. I’ve gained so much confidence in wearing my natural hair because she truly prioritizes hair health. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who goes above and beyond!

Absolutely not a curly hair specialist, especially not 4c. Kimberly was rude from the start. When I walked in, her energy was cold. She looked at my hair and immediately had a look of disgust. Without any product, she ripped a comb through my dry hair, then said she "can’t and won’t do this" because she didn’t have time to "deal with my hair." I’ll own up to not reading the policy about detangling beforehand, but telling me she could "smell" that I hadn’t combed my hair? Completely inappropriate, especially in front of another client. I had postponed wash day for this appointment, expecting professional care. Instead, I got shamed. The next day, she removed my twists and again ripped through my hair. Tried to push an amino treatment I didn’t want, saying my hair was "hard to manage." When I explained I usually keep it in twists or styles, she acted shocked it had only been two weeks since my last wash, again saying she could "smell mildew." During the wash, she was rough, brushing while shampooing, combing from root to tip with no gentleness or detangling product. My scalp was in pain. No heat protectant was used before blow-drying, and she still didn’t properly stretch my ends before trimming. I asked for an inch off, but she cut more because the blowout wasn’t done right. Finally, she told me I wasn’t "receptive" to her advice, code for I wouldn’t agree to the treatment that would make my hair easier for her. Her motto may be "healthy hair matters," but clearly that doesn’t apply to 4c naturals. I care about my hair, that’s why I came. But I left with pain, uneven ends, and regret. If I could give zero stars, I would. Just beware.

I have been coming to see Kimberly for about a year now. I came to her for a silk press and have graduated up to a natural sew in! I enjoy every visit with Kim. She is very professional and nice. I appreciate her communication when thing she is running behind. She uses the best products for us natural hair girlies. Highly recommend!

I come regularly for the amino smoothing treatments but I always leave with a wealth of knowledge on how to take care of my natural hair to ensure it is healthy! Kim is a wonderful stylist and a great teacher. She makes sure you know about the best products to use and how to use them!
