I had a really great haircut (very long hair!), moisture treatment and style today at Birdcage Salon. Taylor was AMAZING! She listened to my concerns, respected them - and didn’t cut too much off! The salon (and staff - especially Mercedes!) is welcoming, cozy and in no way overly-pretentious! The reviews made it a great place to go on a whim - and now I will definitely go back! I felt super comfortable there and I highly recommend Taylor - and I will definitely be back agai!

I've been going to this salon for over 15 years now! Ashley is the most amazing hairstylist that I wouldn't go anywhere else! She has become a dear friend to me over the years. The salon feels like a luxury experience every time, the hairstylists clearly love their jobs, and the atmosphere of the place is warm and inviting. Their front desk manager, Mercedes, is friendly and helpful through every second you are there. I recommend this salon to everyone I can and highly encourage everyone to check it out!

Ashley is the only person I trust with my hair. I’ve always struggled with my curly hair texture and getting a cut that I like, but Ashley always nails it. She suggested a curly shag and it’s become my staple. This salon has such a fun atmosphere and it always feels so welcoming. I absolutely love my hair every time!

I’m very disappointed to be leaving this review, as I genuinely tried to resolve this privately first. During a phone conversation with the manager, Mercedes, I felt my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously. When I later called back simply to request the owners’ contact information, I was told no and that my tone had been "condescending," which was surprising and not reflective of my intent or how I was communicating. During that same call, I was also told that no one else had ever complained about her and that only positive feedback had been received. That statement made me feel as though my concerns would not be taken seriously if shared with the owners. Shortly after, I received a text message from the owners, but when I attempted to respond, I received a message stating that replies were not allowed. After receiving this text, it became clear to me that there was no intention to hear my perspective before a judgment was made. While I fully understand and respect supporting your staff, making assumptions about a client’s intent without allowing them the opportunity to be heard is unacceptable and not reflective of respectful communication. I subsequently reached out to the owners three separate times requesting a phone call so I could calmly and respectfully explain my experience, but I was never given that opportunity. This ultimately confirmed the concern I had expressed that my side of the situation would not be considered. I believe customer service is the foundation of a healthy business. Clients should feel valued, listened to, and treated with professionalism, especially by those in leadership roles. Sadly, this experience fell far short of that standard. I do want to note that my stylist is wonderful and the only person I trusted with my hair. Losing her due to a miscommunication and an unnecessary conflict has been heartbreaking. I’m sharing this not out of hostility, but in the hope that this feedback is taken seriously so future clients do not have a similar experience.

I've been seeing Molly for a couple years now and not long into that time we got to a place where she just knows my haircut. It's so nice to just walk in, get started, and get to catching up. Molly and the rest of the staff do such a great job making a relaxed and social atmosphere that you get comfortable really quick. I appreciate the hairwashing, which I was not used to before, so I can get right back to my day without having as much hair all over me. Great experience, 10/10, worth every penny.

Taylor, my stylist, was the absolute best. So sweet, educational about my hair type and products to use! Quickly cut and styled my hair, and it looks amazing! Can’t wait to schedule with her again in March! Thanks Taylor! 🙂

This is the best salon, Ashley makes everyone feel welcomed and heard even when it’s your first time. She’s very good with all hair types and I will always come back to her!
