Update: after speaking with the owner about our experience, she insisted on providing us with a full refund. I did not ask for a refund, but the fact that she provided one shows how much she wanted to make this right. She has been away on maternity leave and as a business owner, I certainly understand that employees don’t always follow what they’re supposed to do when there isn’t a leadership presence. I do believe she will be back soon and she will make things right again. What happened: I took my daughter to Hair Play Spa expecting a high-end Japanese head spa with ASMR, but it was the complete opposite. The experience was very disappointing from start to finish. The technicians did not seem trained or knowledgeable in their services. They lacked bedside manner, were not conversational, and showed little to no customer service skills. The blowout I received was so poorly done that my hair looked worse than if I had styled it myself—over-blown, dry, and brittle. My daughter’s treatment was especially concerning. It did not even include the proper equipment for a Japanese head spa — the rainbow-shaped sprayer was not used. Instead, they just used a basic sprayer. On top of that, the technician rubbed products into her ear and even dry-brushed her face, which had nothing to do with her scalp. She was so rough that my daughter’s scalp went numb, and she even lost hair from the treatment. The "beds" we had to lie on were very uncomfortable, leaving me with back pain by the time the service ended. To make matters worse, they asked me to pay (and add a tip) midway through the service, which felt unprofessional and suspicious. The entire atmosphere was low-end and nothing like what was advertised as a luxury Japanese head spa. Overall, I do not recommend this place. The services were aggressive, uncomfortable, and poorly done. Definitely not worth the money.

I took my daughter as a surprise gift. It was one of the best gifts we’ve ever given her. The staff was very kind And accommodating. It was my daughter’s first time and they made her feel very comfortable. The facility was very clean and the atmosphere was amazing. I highly recommend this place. Jordan and her team are doing an amazing job. 5 ⭐️

I’ve been here several times, choosing different services and experiences. This time Jordan, the owner, did the Japanese head spa with add back scratch (ASMR). I was very relaxed and comfortable. I left feeling rejuvenated and my hair felt and smelled amazing. Jordan truly cares about her clients and staff. She’s always striving to improve and learn new ways to give the clients what they need/want in a spa experience. Try it out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my first Japanese head spa experience, and it was absolutely amazing! My service was with Allie, who was kind, sweet, and so professional. As a business owner, I spend my days talking nonstop with clients, and Allie immediately read the room—she was soft-spoken, gentle, and made me feel completely comfortable. She explained everything clearly without over-explaining, which made the experience feel perfectly balanced. I rarely ever get so relaxed that I drift off, but during this service, I actually caught myself snoozing—it was THAT good! The atmosphere was calming, and every step felt thoughtful and intentional. I had to leave quickly and didn’t get the chance to use the self-service blow drying station, but I’ll definitely take advantage of it next time. Overall, an incredible head spa experience that left me feeling refreshed and deeply relaxed. I can’t wait to go back soon!

Abby is the best! Cutting and styling hair as thick and long as mine has always been a challenge for stylists in the past but not for Abby. My layers are always so seamless and blended. You can always count on her to over deliver!

I don’t usually do much with my hair, but when it comes to Abby, I trust her completely. Her expertise and skill are unmatched, and I always know I’m in good hands. Recently, she did a stunning balayage for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s exactly what I wanted, and I’ve been receiving so many compliments ever since. I’m so grateful for her talent and attention to detail—it’s always a great experience getting my hair done by Abby!

I thoroughly enjoyed every single second of the Japanese Head Spa and blowout. An absolute amazing experience, super relaxing, cute atmosphere, and an extremely kind team. Highly recommend!
