Crystal Carlisle - Hair Stylist at The Mark Salon

Crystal is amazingly talented with blondes! First we did a consultation, complimentary of course. The next week for my appointment we recapped everything we discussed, and voila! The salon is lovely and relaxing and her hospitality is more than gracious! I couldn't be happier with the result. 🤗🤩 Also one of the best haircuts I've had in ages!

I found Crystal to be a sweet person, but disingenuous in accountability when she drastically messed up my hair changing me from a blonde to brunette without my permission. I felt unseen, unheard and disrespected … made to feel it was my fault that she didn’t closely pay attn to 5 pics I showed her, what I was articulately requesting in my hair appt.. & unwilling to own the mistake once we both saw it. After seeing how dark it was, I asked her to atleast put in a couple of blonde foils right then so I wouldn’t leave completely dark, and she sternly said, "not today and that I’d have to live with it a little while and sometimes change is hard ," even tho it was her mistake & the next day was New Year’s Eve. She later made more effort to fix it once I said I would no longer be her client. She claimed I was harassing her just for explaining how I felt & asking for half the money back that I paid her. It would have been much easier on both of us if she’d just agreed to split the bill without all the explanation, but she would not. I felt half was very fair since I was going to have to take the time to get it done again, & to pay someone else to fix it. There was a lot of back & forth to which I felt empty apologies & calls, but still an unwillingness to give me a sincere resolve I was ok with ( half money back). She wanted to fix it but I didn’t feel comfortable after what already happened. I finally had to call the salon owner to get her to give me some money back. She offered me 40 percent of my services, but still refused to do half haggling me over $15. I had to go pick up the check myself "on that day only" she ordered, bc she didn’t want to deal with this anymore, saying I was harassing her. My husband made arrangements in his schedule to pick up the check for me bc I honestly didn’t want to talk to her, right or wrong. For a service industry, I felt she expected me to make most of the sacrifices to accommodate her terms more than vice versa . I believe she is a kind person at heart & wish this could have been resolved up front; mistakes happen and had she been willing to own it and offer a swift solution once we both saw the mistake, not allowing me to leave with no resolve or admission to the mistakes… I would have stayed with her. When ny husband went to pick up the check, she actually had the nerve to tell him that she tried everything & I just can’t be pleased. She tried everything except what I asked; to give me half of my money back. I wish her the best, but I cannot recommend her based on how difficult she made it for me just to get her to give me some of my money back, so I could get it fixed without spending $3-400 on the entire debacle. I didn’t trust her enough to fix it based on what happened, or I would have gone that route.

Best hair service I’ve had in a very long time! Excellent service, hair looks very shiny and feels soft, and the studio was very clean. Crystal is professional and was very positive and attentive!

Crystal is super sweet and I got my hair bleached and she did a beautiful job. She’s a perfectionist so you can trust your hair will be done right. I will definitely be going back to her for my next hair appointments. She’s also affordable and makes you feel very comfortable and easy to talk too. She understands what you ask for and I’m super happy with how it turned out. Great job crystal can’t wait for our next appointment . Definitely feeling myself thanks to the beautiful job she did.

Crystal is such an amazing stylist! She has been doing my hair for over 3 years! I would not trust my hair with anyone else! She is honest when I ask her opinion about any crazy hair ideas I have and is always interested in trying new things! She is always learning and growing and staying up with the latest trends! She is so personable as well! 10 out of 10, I would recommend her to anyone!

Crystal has been doing my hair since January of 2020. She is genuinely the best hair stylist i’ve come across since first deciding to ever color my hair. If you’re wanting to go lighter, go see her!!! She will not disappoint you. I have and will continue to recommend her services to others.

Crystal is awesome. Just last night she was doing my hair. A new style an different colors.And several hours later. Didn't finish till well after 1130 pm. She did a good job. Still not sure about the length. Great job Crystal. Love you.
