Buff Beauty Bar

The place is dirty and a mess. Needs a cleaning for sure! Blowout turned out okay. Halfway through the girl sprayed my hair with dry shampoo. I asked her why in my freshly washed hair. She stated it will absorb too much product being put in. I had to give her directions on a simple blowout several times. I wouldn’t recommend the place.

My friend and I had blowouts by Kim and Macy respectively, and they are AMAZING. They listened to exactly what we wanted and we both left feeling heard, confident, and fabulous. Kim and Macy also happen to be super fun and wonderful. I cannot recommend Buff Beauty Bar enough!!

I got the best blow out I’ve ever gotten from Kim! I made a last minute appointment and was seen same day. She was very gracious about how long it would take for an end of the day appointment on very long, very curly, and very thick hair. Best salon experience I’ve had of any service. Will definitely be coming back!

I had an amazing experience at this quaint salon in the beautiful Arts District of New Orleans! I went in for a wax and Macy had me laughing the entire time! Her professionalism and expertise couldn't be overshadowed by her delightful personality as the care she displayed is evident by the spectacular results! I had such a great experience that I immediately stayed for a full gel pedicure with Danielle! Hands down, the best pedicure received! Danielle took her time and insured that every inch of my tired feet were buffed, scrubbed and rehydrated! We spoke like we were old friends and I felt so at home with her. Every tiny bit of every toenail was covered in three coats of polish and I left feeling charmed, looking like a million bucks and floating on air! Buff Beauty Bar is a reasonably priced, fantastic experience and I cannot recommend it enough! You won't be disappointed!!!

Felt very obligated to leave this review because I don't think my engagement photos would have turned out even half as great without Kim encouraging me and leaving me with an amazing Blow Out. I was in town visiting and also getting my engagement photos done when I woke up the last day, right before our shoot, with food poisoning. I was just trying to make it the best I could even though I felt horrid. Upon walking in for my appt, Kim could tell I wasn't feeling 100% and immediately started offering suggestions or remedies to help. Since I was the only one in the salon, she even put the A/C on blast for me and brought me a hand fan and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire service. Close to finishing with my hair, I said something like "I can do this" and Kim was just so sweet and said some of the most encouraging words to give me the final push of energy I needed. My hair looked amazing even if I didn't feel that way and even as I was walking out the door, she told me one more time "You got this. It's only one hour and the photos are going to turn out amazing!" Kim, how right you were! Without her (and my photographer who was equally as patient and kind) I really don't think I would have had the strength to make it through the day let alone the shoot and it just goes to show...you can be good at your job but kindness and compassion can go so much farther. Thank you so much to Buff Beauty Bar and my girl Kim. Anytime I'm in Nola, I will make it an occasion to get pampered by you 🙂

These ladies are FABULOUS! They took great care of our family to help us get our nails ready for my cousin's wedding, and we were a huge group so I'm sure it was an ordeal!! Dana is a rock star.
