Obsession Hair Salon

I went there recently for the first time in years — and it will definitely be my last. My daughter really wanted her hair done and they were the only place with an opening, so we gave it a chance. The end result looked nice, but it was not what she asked for. We showed a picture of dark hair with bold, chunky blonde highlights. Instead, she got thin blonde streaks that completely disappear under her dark hair. On top of that, the timing was a nightmare. We arrived at 9:45 AM and didn’t leave until 5:45 PM. I made it very clear that her hair needed to be done well before 4 PM, and they assured me it would be. Yet by 2 PM, she was still sitting at the sinks with conditioner in her hair — for an entire hour. I understand this is a business, but if you can’t manage taking multiple clients at once, then don’t overbook. And if you can’t stay focused on your work without constantly stopping to socialize, then don’t pretend you can. All they did was talk, stop doing hair, and run to greet every person who walked in the door. It’s unprofessional and disrespectful of people’s time. This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. Before this day I hadn’t been back there in three years for hair because of that very reason. They’re very unprofessional and don’t know how to just keep the socializing to a minimum.

I would come here all the time but i stopped because two months ago i came and did my hair with Gladys and she cut my hair because i trusted her with my hair but the cut was horrible she messed up my hair and now im letting it grow but i wont be coming back here. She had also cut my friends hair as well and also messed her hair up. So do not trust her with cutting your hair. Don’t do something that you are not good at.

Hair is too important to leave it to.just anyone. The transformations I've seen in other clients and my own experience makes this place a top notch salon. No pretences just great hair

I’ll be honest I loved the atmosphere, they were super friendly and welcoming. I loved the stylist that did my blowout, she was amazing 5 stars to her, but I do have two complaints about this place. The first one would be the hair washing technique, it was painful since she kept nicking me with her nail. Second complaint I have would be that they did not use any heat protection on my hair, for a high end price you would at least expect some protection. I myself did see more somethings I didn’t like sanitation wise, The service price didn’t match quality of care.

I have always gone to salons where the price for a simple haircut starts at $100. But, after losing my hairdresser of 26 years, i could not find anyone who could do my hair... Until the day i walked into the salon. The owner (i think she owns it, her name is " Neirda" * once again, i could be off on the spelling as they are all Spanish speaking, and nice as hell!! ) i wish i found her years earlier, but i am thrilled i finally found a new hairdresser. She does such a great job, and they are all so very nice there. This is the perfect business to say, "You cannot judge a book by its cover." as it is located in a run down building, but she has that ALL of the busienss there. I promise that i would choose theor salon over all of those "day spas", etc... There are several talented hairdressers here, so call and book. You will be glad you did.

Hairdresser listened to me explain what I wanted and then ignored all of that, cutting way too short. I tried to stop her during the process, reminding her that I needed to be able to pull it into a ponytail and she told me, "I know what I'm doing, trust me." It's been three weeks and I still can't get the sides into a ponytail. I understand that curly hair can be difficult for some people, but I just wish she'd said she couldn't do it rather than stick me with this awful cut. I won't go back.
