I’ve been going Plumbhunnez for 10 years, and they are simply the best, and I can’t recommend this family-run, Black woman-owned business enough! Their expertise, attention to detail, and genuine care for their clients are unmatched. My locs are always healthy, neat, and beautifully maintained thanks to their skill. Beyond the amazing work they do, the experience is always warm and welcoming—like catching up with an old friend. If you’re looking for someone who truly knows and loves their craft, I highly recommend the whole team for locs, braids, and natural styles.

The review is solely based off of the aftermath of what my hair currently looks like after visiting this salon. First and foremost the people were great and friendly. My friend recommended this place to me for a silk press service. I am a Latina with curly hair and sometimes it can be difficult to find a salon to tackle the job. My first visit was in the beginning of November and I loved my hair so much I visited a second time in December for the same service. We are now going into February and my lower section of my hair lost its curls. I was very devastated because my hair has always bounced back from a blow out, straighter, curling iron, etc. but for some reason this wasn’t the case. My curls are straight and stringy and it’s very unfortunate. I emailed the business to express my concerns and at first I thought they were going to guide me in the right direction but they seemed to dismiss my situation. My advice would be to educate your clients on what you do best right? Talk about the possibilities of what this service could do to your hair. On the website under silk press it notes "hair will revert back to its natural state" but that wasn’t the case for me. I am now looking forward to a big chop so I can regain my curl pattern.

They are so rude at this salon. Attitude for no reason. Ask for an estimate on a 1/4 head retwist and met with rude responds and attitude. Pricing wasn’t an issue cause I got my own but the way she open the door giving "what do you want" type of energy right off the gate while I am genuinely asking questions on how to proceed. I got a card thrown in my face and that was about it. Like there is a reason why I came in person for whoever to take a look cause the questions I had were not being answered online and I called and same stink attitude. Customer service classes are a need at this point. No wonder my sister stop going years ago. Thought things would have changed but I guess not. I’m the one spending my money, go find some else to play with.

There’s no other place that I would recommend getting your hair done at except Plumbhunneez! From the customer service all the way to the quality of the work they do. I’ve known my good sis Keeda since high school and from then I knew her hands were gifted. I trust no one but her to do my hair. You want good QUALITY service? You want a salon that’s going to make you feel real good once you step out? You want someone who’s fair and will treat you like family? Plumbhunneez is the place for you!!

I walked in feeling ok and walked out feeling like a million bucks! I had passion twists done to my hair by Makeeda and let me tell you - I simply felt like an African Goddess when I was done! It was my first time getting my hair done here and I will 100% be back for more designs. The customer service and cleanliness and friendliness of the stylists was simply amazing!! Definitely recommend.

This was my sons first time getting braids and they made him feel very comfortable. They were fantastic to deal with, and the vibe of the place was dope. They did an unbelievable job on his braids and most importantly he was happy with the process. They were great, and this is the only place we will be going too. THEY ARE AMAZING!

Love, love, love the ladies that work here they have made me feel like family; not that I don’t force my damn self in to families lol where I feel comfortable any way! No they make you feel comfortable, the prices are not astronomical, they care for your hair are honest and understanding. Just listen and you will see what happens to your hair as things begin to change!!!
