Customer Reviews
Knots Salon has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 141 reviews on Google
I came in as a walk in with my five year old son at about 4:40pm. I had called ahead to see if I needed to schedule and was told they could get him in as long as I was there before 5:45pm. No problem. We show up and there is no other customers Infront of us. We were quickly helped and my son got to pick out his chair which honestly was the highlight of the entire experience. The lady helping him was nice but she seemed like she was in a hurry. I'm not sure what for as they were all just hanging out chatting as we walked in. Anyways I asked for a normal boy hair cut short in the back and side mostly like a fade and to get it out of his eyes and take some off the top. Well what he got was 10 mins in the chair. Took a long guard and went over the back and the sides ONCE, before she went to the front and top barley spending anytime to make sure both sides of the head were even. . I didn't realize she was done until she said look at Mom and took off his smock. His hair was long in spots and completely uneven. I was so floored at what I was looking at I choose to take my child, pay for the cut and leave. My child woke up today and asked if we could fix his hair. Sadly we will not be going back. I tried this place because it was supposed to be good with children and my son really wanted to sit in one of the cool car chairs but we both were disappointed by the out come. I ended up paying twice what I should have paid for a simple haircut.
I feel like the photos speak for themselves. Felt very rushed. In and out in 8 minutes total. Didn’t seem friendly. Not sure who exactly cut his hair, I was never given a name. Wasn’t spoken too except to ask what I wanted done. He was a bit upset, I admit, but this is really bad.
I called today for my 18 month old son’s first haircut. They got me in an hour later. Hannah is the stylist that cut his hair and she was playful with him, patient, and calm. He actually did really good because she kept him occupied. We will most definitely be going back.
I’ve been bringing my little siblings to this hair salon for a while, and it’s always been such a lovely experience. They get excited to pick their little car seats, and the ladies are usually so sweet and welcoming. It’s always been fun for the kids, and I’ve always made sure to book appointments ahead of time. One day, I had an appointment scheduled at 12:00 PM. I arrived early, at 11:50 AM, and a stylist named Hanna told me, "You’re 10 minutes early, so you’ll have to wait until 12:00." That was perfectly fine with me—I didn’t mind waiting. But at 11:55, a mother walked in with three children and asked if they take walk-ins. Hanna said yes. I assumed, of course, that since I had an appointment, my siblings would be taken first. To my surprise, Hanna started working on the three walk-in kids instead. She finished all three of them around 12:35 PM before finally calling my sibling. When it was finally our turn, I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted for my little brother. She did the complete opposite. Not only that, but she was rude toward me and extremely impatient with my siblings. At one point, she got visibly upset because my 2-year-old brother wouldn’t move his head exactly how she wanted. He’s only 2 years old—it broke my heart seeing how frustrated she was with him instead of showing care and patience. When I politely asked if she could trim a little more off, she kept getting annoyed and refused to do it. I’ve never had an experience like this at this salon before, and it was the first (and last) time my siblings were cut by Hanna. I even asked for her name to make sure I never book with her again. What hurts the most is that this salon has always been amazing for children, and I’ve even recommended it to friends—many of them Latino families like mine. Sadly, several of them also told me they had bad experiences. I can’t say for sure if Hanna treats certain people differently, but I can say without a doubt that she is not professional, patient, or kind with children. As a parent, sibling, or caregiver, you expect your little ones to be treated with gentleness and care—especially in a place meant for kids. It was so disappointing and heartbreaking to see my brother leave crying from a place that used to make him smile.
Hannah held my 3 year olds head so hard she left red marks and a scratch on his neck. He screamed and cried but I didn’t realize at the moment that it was because she was hurting him until I saw the marks and scratch. He tried to stand up at one point to play with his car and she pretty forcefully grabbed his arm and pulled him back down. One of the times we came in she was saying out loud how much she wanted to go home and complaining about having to be there. That made it super awkward because we were the only customers in there so she definitely knew we could hear her. The first time we came here the owner Olivia was wonderful but the past 3 times Hannah has been the only stylist available and has either been rude or rough with my son every time. I know it’s hard to keep them still but you have to have patience to work with children. I’m so glad to see it’s not just me feeling this way after reading all the negative reviews about her. I really hope the salon owner is seeing all these bad reviews about her and starts taking them seriously because this has obviously been going on for awhile with multiple customers. We will not be back unless she is gone.
Thank you for providing my daughter with such a great cut and style. Teenagers can be hard to please, but she truly loves her new look. The staff was friendly, our appointment started right on time, and the overall experience was excellent. We look forward to returning!
10/10 recommend 2nd time I’ve brought my little one they are so kind and great with kids. We have booked with Wendy twice now and she does a wonderful job ❤️
