I’ve been coming to this salon for 9 years for Japanese hair straightening, and I truly wouldn’t trust my hair anywhere else. The team is incredibly meticulous, and Laura is especially amazing at overseeing everything. She always double-checks her staff’s work and asks the right questions to make sure clients are good candidates for treatments. I really appreciate how much care she puts into protecting the health of your hair. I also want to highlight Vanessa, who has cut my hair twice now and does an incredible job. I initially showed her a photo of a style I wanted, and instead of just agreeing, she gave me her honest professional opinion about why it wouldn’t work well with my thick, straight hair. She then suggested alternatives that still gave me layers and movement while actually being achievable for my hair type. She took her time blending everything perfectly, and the end result was exactly what I needed. Highly recommend this salon if you’re looking for quality work and people who truly care about hair health

I am now a repeat customer here. In my limited research, I feel like this is a relatively affordable place. The ladies who work there are all Vietnamese and they know their stuff. There maybe a little language barrier, but I would choose the place for it's affordability. I got Japanese smoothening/permanent straightening, hair cut, balayage/highlights done here. My balayage/highlights were done by Vanessa and she is good with giving you recommendations and some good practices for your hair care. She was very friendly and took care of my hair styling well by taking my preference and giving her suggestions as well. Highly recommend!

Perfect Japanese straightening! Recently, I did Japanese straightening at HK Hair, and it was the most professional straightening I have ever had (and I had at least 10) Let's start with the owner- Laura, she is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. The place was clean and organized, with fresh flowers, large tv screens, and good music. The team is excellent, detail-oriented, and professional- they take every step very seriously, and the result was and still is perfect. The place isn't cheap but fair and definitely worth it! Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back!

This is a great place to get permanent hair straightening done. I come here every 8 months and have been coming for 8 years now. I remember the first time I came here, I did a lot of research on what kind of straitening to do, which place to go, which person to ask for etc etc. With the 8yr of experience, I can say that you dont have to worry about any of this. Laura and her team is really great, no matter who works on your hair (usually 2-3 ppl will work together) and Laura checks from time to time. They would tell you what treatment to do based on your hair type/condition. I took 'before and after' pictures each time (posting the last two sittings). My hair is frizzy and wavy maybe. After the treatment, they are so smooth and straight. The very first time, the result was the best. I still see the frizzy ones sometimes (hair standing out but still straight) and use the hair spray to set those down. You don't have to do anything to your hair after shower. This one time 4-5hr sitting saves so much time and effort for fixing your hair after every shower. The team here is good, I almost fall asleep while they are working on the hair. They offer you water, food, and are pleasant and adjusting. Last time I had to leave mid-treatment for something else and they worked around it too! They keep talking among themselves in a language I dont understand but that does not bother me. If I had to pick a con, it would be the pricing (but maybe even that is justified). The very first time they had to do my full length hair, so they said the charge would be more but after that every touch up should be less. However touch-ups costed the same. Over the years the price has gone up little bit too. But still for the kind of work they do, I am very happy and would continue to come here. Highly recommended.

Never had such a bad haircut. Photo speaks for itself. I told her I didn’t like it and asked if anyone else could fix it. Then SHE got upset! Told me these were the long layers I asked for. No one else working at the salon tried to help. She then ripped off the gown and demanded $50. I can’t believe she had the audacity to charge $50 when a 12 year old could have done better. She just cut an outline, barely picked up my hair. Probably never watched a YouTube video or was taught how to cut hair. Don’t know how I’m supposed to go out in public with this cut.

I went in for a haircut and Venessa was amazing! I have been going here for years and everyone is great!! Venessa was great and friendly and game me great tips on maintaining my hair!!

Vanessa did great job cutting my hair. She is one of the best worker in H&K Hair Salon.
