Hair Dominican Style Salon

Dahiana has been the best hairstylist I’ve come across… I’ve been coming to her for 4 years and she takes great care of my hair. I love a good Dominican blowout. As a 4B natural thick curly girly, Dahiana knows how to treat my hair and I trust her so much to maintain its healthiness too. Every time I come back home to visit, I always schedule an appointment with her to get my traditional blow out/silk press.

I have been coming to this salon for years. I love the fast service they have, and I always come without appointments. The best part is that you are truly getting a Dominican blow dry. For those that know, you know. When I had long hair it would take 1.5 hrs, this is counting the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out. Now with short hair, 45 minutes. There are many salons near me, but I always keep coming back to this one. Dahiana is amazing. She is a no nonsense, gets you in and out with hair done. Yesenia is sweet, not Dominican but gives a lb awesome Dominican blow dry. Sandra is awesome, she is the first person I met that made me decide to keep coming here.

Even after eight years, the trauma from my experience at this hair salon persists. While my hair eventually grew back healthy, the incident left me unable to trust other stylists. I had gone in for a balayage, expecting a professional service from the manager herself. Instead, I endured an hour-long wait as she prioritized a cake for her employees. When she finally got to me, she rushed, applying the highest volume bleach with foils and then placing me under a hair dryer for an excessive amount of time. My head began to burn, and I noticed pieces of foil breaking off. To my horror, my phone's front-facing camera revealed smoke coming from my scalp. The manager, still preoccupied with her cake, was oblivious. Panicked, I managed to get her attention. She immediately washed and treated my hair, but never acknowledged that it was burned. After a quick brush and trim, I was dismissed. My hair was left with a "spaghetti-like" texture—elastic, unbrushable, and taking hours to dry. It was utterly devastating. I cried for months, heartbroken that years of careful hair care were ruined by a supposed professional. I've included images of this horrifying experience, and though I don't recall the stylist's name, her face is in the first picture. I deeply regret not suing them at the time. I was overwhelmed and didn't want someone to lose their job, but now I realize it was about protecting other potential customers from the same fate. My father and I did confront the manager, and after much dispute, she finally admitted fault and refunded my money. However, the emotional toll and trauma remain for someone who had such a deep attachment to their hair. As you can tell from the images I've attached, not only did she burn my hair but she did the worst job ever, that's not a balayage, it looked horrid, and the "Trim" just awful. It's unfortunate that she caused this and didnt even apologize. With all that being said. Yes it's been a long time since then, 8 years. I don't know if this stylist still works there, but i wanted to come on here and give my full experience as it's been very traumatic for me. Just be very careful when going here and make sure the person touching your hair knows what they're doing and has their full attention on you, the client.

Sandra did such an amazing job my hair. The services I received was a touch perm, ends trimmed, and a Dominican blow out. My hair came out shiny and beautiful and looks so healthy. I 10/10 recommend Sandra 💗

I love coming here! Everyone is soooo nice and knows what they are doing. Giving the best advice on hair care and takes their time with you. Today I had Dahiana and she washed my hair soooo good! I was a last minute walk in for Luz. I had an appointment somewhere else and was left stranded. I came in and she was immediately available and did a beautiful job with my hair. I have 3C almost 4A hair im Hispanic and I left with the straightest hair. She also did a nice trim and treatment my hair feels so beautiful. Thank you Luz 🖤
