The Hair District Collective Maple Grove

I am not a person that leaves reviews. But my hair has never been damaged this way. I had cut my hair here 3 times already with no problem. I decided to go for a shorter haircut this time. I asked for shoulder length with framing layers on the front. He created so many layers that my hairs looks round on the top and the the ends curls out. I’ve had short hair multiple times in the past and that has never happened. But I know at least the shape could be fixed. What cannot be fixed is that the hairdresser decided I had "too much volume" and without a lot of explanation of what he was going to do, he grabbed thinning scissors and butchered all my hair. So now not only the haircut looks bad, but my hair looks fried. NEVER let anyone use thinning scissors on you. He used the thinning scissors so close to my roots, that I look like I have a full hair of baby hairs. The pictures below are right after the salon (with a blow out) and then after washing it. He created frizz that didn’t exist before by creating short hairs throughout my whole head.

Heather was the artist who cut both my husband's and my hair and she did a great job! I always feel that I am in expert hands when I see her and her great personality is a perfect complement to her many talents. She has also given me perms (back in the day) and hi/low lights. She did an amazing job giving my teenaged daughter a blue hombre as well. She is the bomb!

I have never gotten a haircut better than the one I received from Qiao Wang. I have tried other places and stylists but never walked away feeling like I genuinely liked my haircut. Qiao nailed it on our first visit and I have been consistently going to him for years here at The Hair District Collective. A very enjoyable part of the experience is easy scheduling and being offered tea while checking in. I have to highly recommend Qiao you won’t regret it!

I've been seeing Alyseia to highlight my hair, and she does a fantastic job! She's so warm and friendly, and she really listens to what you'd like done. My experience with her has been outstanding, and I'm so grateful!

I love it. I went in the Pandemic for the first time; they greeted me with a smile and took care of me from the very first moment, the place is beautiful and it has a good energy. I recommend it and I will continue to go. Lisa left my hair amazing! Years after, Maddie made a beautiful balayage!

Brittany was very kind and knowledgeable. She was able to fix a bad haircut I had received from a different salon. I was so thankful to meet her and have a haircut I loved.

I have been seeing Heather Carlson since she became a stylist, moving with her to The Hair District/Maple Grove from her previous location. She is awesome! I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair. Heather is The Best at her craft and always listens to my questions and ideas while giving me expert advice on what can work, and what won’t. I highly recommend her and her caring style and personality.
