If I can give this Salon 10 stars I would. It has Free parking in lot out front. It has a nail salon inside and a barbershop next door. There’s a variety of hair products. All the stylists are super helpful. They were very informative, understanding, honest, welcoming and respectful and most of all the fact that I asked her to just freestyle and then Alacazam boom wow, I’m in tears. Good job Jays Salon Hairstylist! I’m forever in your favor! You ladies made my day, my fiancés day and my daughter loves it. I have been looking for a hair salon near me for years. I have not found not one hair stylist in Beverly or near Beverly that can deal with my daughter’s hair texture and you ladies aced it. A+ for me. Thank you all so much. We will be here every two weeks and I will bring more people. Great prices and again availability is on point and they have waiting area and beverages available. What more can anyone ask for, this is like a dream come true. Beauty Salon, Nail tech for mani and pedi with Rosana and Barbershop for my son and fiance, wow! I’m in love! No wait and on the spot. Many available chairs and scheduling options are also available. It’s also convenient for people who want to go to Walgreens and few other stores and gas station near by along with bus stop being out front for those who do not have vehicles and it’s wheel chair accessible. Amazingggg!

I walked in today 5/27/25, as a new client. I need the color to be fixed in my hair, trim, wash and blow dry. Zobeida, did exactly as I wished, and left my hair looking brand new. I am pleased that I found a new salon. Next week my mother will be going there for the same services. It is difficult to find good and knowledgeable stylists now and days. Zobeida was BOTH. I will be returning.

I am new to Beverly, MA. There are no black or Dominican Salons that I could find. Someone told me go to Union Street so I googled it and found Jay's Beauty Salon. I called because new town, new culture. In NYC, Dominican salons do only walk-ins. Not here. I made an appointment and I was set. For a Saturday appointment, I was ready to spend the whole day here because that is what I have always experienced but NOPE. I walked right into a chair with my stylist, Petronila. Don't steal my stylist but she is AWESOME. But as I look around, I think I would have been fine with anyone here. Everyone speaks English here, which wasn't the case in NYC all my years getting my hair done. For me, this makes my experience more personal. In NYC, Dominican Salons are like immersing in a culture. I am polite and learn the rules. But there isn't anything to learn here. It's just easy. My hair is washed, my scalp is so clean! It feels great. The shampoo chair is a recliner. I love recliners! I try to keep from falling asleep. When I get a deep conditioner, they place me under a steamer! This is a game changer. I believe using a steamer at home during the pandemic added the moisture that made my hair grow inches. This is a first for me in a salon. And of course I got my hair roller set and under the dryer. I am going to cut to the chase. My hair looks FABULOUS when I left. UPDATE: I have gone back weekly for a while now and this is my salon! I went natural so I could get coloring, balayage to be exact. Maybe I will now.

Petronilla hooked me up! I went in on a Saturday for a wash, blow out and trim. I was fortunate to get a same day appointment. Petronilla was very gentle with my hair and utilized high quality products in my hair. I asked her to reduce the amount of heat on the blow dryer because my hair gets heat damaged easily and she was respected my wishes. The trim was perfect and framed my face well. She also used the flat iron to give my hair a nice bump and applied extra heat protection for that. The salon is beautiful, clean and airy. I will definitely return!

Went last weekend for a blowout and one of the hairstylists relaxed my hair and mixed it in with deep conditioner. I didn't ask for relaxer and now my curls are ruined after years of growing it out.

Best color and haircut in a long time for me. She was sweet, kind and she was a blessing to me as this was a special gift and day for myself and my daughter whose almost 2yrs old and got her 1st haircut that day after Mommy was finished. They also gave my friends 11yr old daughter whose being bullied by boys at school a gorgeous haircut and made her feel like she was gorgeous as she truly is. My new hairdresser told her that she is beautiful inside and out and made her feel as such. These wómen are amazing and I wish I knew about their salon years ago. My hair looks the best it has in years and to a new momma and newly ENGAGED woman this day of beauty and feeling a million bucks was worth every penny my husband to be said he has ever spent on his 2 girls. This salon is terrible for people of color. Stay away if you even have slightly curly hair. Stay away! I suffered terrible heat burns and had to be prescribed ointments for my scalps burns. They will perm your hair and ruin it. Worst hair experience of my life.
