Kara at 815 Studio is truly one of a kind. She has always made my daughter feel comfortable and confident in her chair, which means everything as a mom. After going back and forth for almost a year, my daughter finally decided to cut 6+ inches off her hair and Kara was incredible through the entire process. She talked her through it, reassured her, and made sure she felt confident every step of the way. The result? A girl who couldn’t stop smiling, checking herself out in the mirror, and feeling SO proud of her decision. We’ve been going to Kara for a few years now, and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. We both always leave feeling amazing, inside and out. Kara doesn’t just do hair, she builds confidence. Highly, highly recommend! 💜

I had checked with a few salons around my area to see which offered curly cuts. I felt confident within the research I done, hence the stylist describe herself as a curly cut expert. I booked an appointment, again information the stylist it was a curly cut prior to appointment. I arrived I get seated my stylist arrives we proceed with a consultation. She lets me know that I should have booked for a specialty cut, because I had curly hair. I had no knowledge of this (keep in mind I had informed the stylist I had curly hair before the appointment when I booked). She mentioned that she knew she was not gonna have enough time to style or wash my hair, I let her know that this was fine because I had just washed it. As for the cut it’s self and what I asked for was volume I flipped my hair to the side and showed her how I wanted it to lay. I told her I understood that there was gonna need to be layers. We discussed back-and-forth, I let her know that I have always gotten my haircuts when my hair is wet, because I felt like it let you see and feel the shrinkage. She proceeds to tell me that she normally does curly haircuts with dry hair because it lets her see how the hair lays naturally at its natural curl, I trusted her and her process. She starts to cut, She starts with the back. She’s doing her thing. I can’t see it and I’m trusting I’m talking to her every step of the way. She gets to the front. She makes a big chop on the left side I go silent She noticed this and she mentioned it I kind of just brushed it off because My hair has already hit the floor. She proceeds to the Right side and cuts away. By the time that I get home and wash my hair I can notice the cut itself It’s so disconnected. The left and the right side are two different lengths, I have a gap on the right side. In no way did she executive the haircut I asked for, I have absolutely no volume because I have no Length anymore. The left and the right side of my hair does not matching length. The front and the back of my hair is also disconnected with a missing gap that connects the haircut. If you have a curly hair, I highly recommend you NOT TO LET A PAIR OF SHEARS touch your hair!!!

Gang if you are a dude, DO NOT COME HERE. The first picture is what I asked for and the second is what I got! They suck at cutting men’s hair and probably women’s too. Just a bunch of scammers. I swear to god Jessica must have been trying to mess me up. She said NAH let me make sure this dude has a horrible week. NAH let me mess him up. This is the worst haircut ever and I dread the comments I will be getting. I stayed home from school because of this haircut because this atrocity was made. Idk if she meant to do this but golly she utterly destroyed me. PLEASE studio 815 if you are reading this, fire all of your employees and get people who can actually cut unique hair.

I’ve been seeing Lydia regularly for color, cut, and styling, and every visit is truly a 10/10 experience. She’s incredibly friendly and takes the time to give thoughtful, specific suggestions based on my hair type, styling preferences, and lifestyle. I always leave feeling confident and well taken care of. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and attentive stylist!

I’ve never written a bad review in my life and now reading these reviews I wish I would have looked a little closer.. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever received and the most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to. I came in for a consultation and explained what I needed *root touch up * I even explained how I usually need a double process, this was over a month in advance.. I came in to my appointment and she started on my hair and everything seemed to be going fine. We did my first process and she washed it out and and toned it. When I got back to the chair I was mortified. My hair was extremely patchy and no where near what I was expecting.. and also told me I was only booked for one process like I was done. 😭But I specifically told the original stylist they consulted me that I needed two and the day of this same stylist confirmed that she could take care of me and her the job done. I don’t think other stylists should be consulting someone they won’t be taking care of.. and also mind you I work with Good Day Stateline and have a segment coming up next Tuesday so I wanted to freshen up my hair.. I am also a service provider in the beauty industry so my appearance is of utmost importance. I honestly should have left when she said she’s only been doing hair for two years because I know better but I really wanted to just have faith in her bc she was sweet at the time.. she said her roommate was coming in next so she kept me a little longer and gave me a bleach bath hoping it would do the trick.* again I am a service provider my self and this also caused me to have to reschedule an appointment * so by the end of the bleach bath my hair was seriously splotchy, my scalp was fried, and I was doing my best to be calm and respectful. And I was. Super. One of the stylists proceeded to tell me it’s my fault. The stylist that did my hair had no resolve for me and then to make matters worse her room mate comes in and is egging me on at the door and was just staring at me the entire time I was in the chair. The stylist gave me 50% off the service and I just didn’t want to be that person so I paid and left. I was in the car on the way home and I was in panick looking at my hair and feeling how fried it was. So I went back and asked for a refund because I am going to have to get this fixed. ASAP. I was extremely respectful this entire time and being as understanding as possible. At this point the stylist was washing her roommates hair and as I walked away they were blatantly talking about me using profanities laughing obnoxiously, giggling and looking at me like my distress was amusing. I felt like I was being tested like no other and I STILL remained calm and collective.. the owner of the salon refused my refund because "time and products".. but at this point it is no longer about the refund. It’s about the principal. When people especially in this economy choose to spend their hard earned money, time, and energy at your business it is a blessing. I would never expect someone to pay after an experience like that idc how much time or product was spent. This doesn’t even deserve one star seriously. Please keep the money you obviously need it more.

I HIGHLY recommend the lovely Lexi Heidenreich!!!!! I haven’t colored my hair in 3 years, so I was a little nervous, to be honest. I gave her my inspo pic and not only did she NAIL it, she explained how and why certain colors compliment skin tone, and the maintenance that goes along with the type of coloring you choose. She was VERY informative. She definitely knew her stuff, which helped me feel more confident in the color I wanted. She made me feel extremely comfortable, and did an absolutely exceptional job. Great job Lexi!!!

I'm very pleased with my color. This was my first time at 815. Aubrey did an amazing job matching my color. I love it and enjoyed her pleasant, friendly personality! I will definitely be back to see her again.
