Omagi Salon & Spa

I went to this salon for over two years for regular haircuts and perms. I want to start off by saying all the staff here are very nice and professional, and very accommodating when things went wrong. The primary reason for the two star review is that only after moving and finding a new salon, did I find out how how overpriced this salon is. I was charged $150 to get a perm done each time, and this does not include trimming your hair beforehand, something that is pretty essential to get done first. The one and only time I asked to have my hair trimmed before, I was looked at as if the entire thought of it was ridiculous and when I insisted, the stylist said something along the lines of 'I can try to trim it down real fast', and it was most certainly a rush job. From then on, I always booked a $65 haircut before, bringing the total to $215 for one perm. The salon does not ask for tips, which I like, but even with a generous tip at my new salon, a haircut and a perm costs $80 and takes 1 hour. The perm and haircut combined at this salon take nearly 3 hours, and result in a much less resilient perm. There were several times I had my hair permed where sections of hair did not form properly, and one time the entire perm just failed, and my hair was just as straight as it was before, not even any waves. A few times when this happened and my calendar wasn't that full, I called, and they scheduled me back in to have it fixed, but those visits were noticeably rushed and I got a strong impression that they were not happy about having to provide services for free, though they were willing to do it. The time the perm failed entirely, to get a redo/reimbursement, it took somewhere like 4 phone calls back in forth in order for them to determine that they would refund me, and it felt like they were giving it the same ammount of weight as something like negotiating a competitive contract. The stylists also were reluctant to share comprehensive styling and product questions, despite me asking detailed questions. Again, the stylists and staff are really nice, and the general experience is typically nice. That being said, now having gone to other salons, I use my experience from this one for what not to look for in other salons. I appreciate the response from Omagi, and feel like I may have been a little harsh with my rating so I have upped it one star to three stars. I will in response to cutting hair after the hair being permed, say that the two different stylists I have had perms done by never seemed to give this as an option, but it is true that I never explicitly asked after it was done.

The entire experience at Omagi was excellent! From the time I walked in, until I check out, the team was welcoming, positive and energetic. Katlin was my colorist. She is phenomenal and so talented! She took the time to talk to me before my service about my hair goals, what I liked and didn't like and what would be achievable during my service. She was incredibly positive and made the experience so enjoyable and relaxing! The complimentary tea and incredible neck and shoulder massage were the icing on the cake! My hair turned out perfect! Katlin nailed it-it was better than what I had hoped for! The owner, Marian was there, and it was so clear how much she cares for their guests, her team, her community and business! She is fantastic! I can't say enough great things about Omagi Salon & Spa...you have to experience it for yourself!

Always a professional, well-run experience. The no-tipping policy eliminates guesswork, and my hair always looks amazing. Katlin, Carrie, and the entire Omagi team have provided exceptional service for the eight years I’ve been coming—consistently leaving me relaxed and refreshed.

Izzy did an amazing job on my color. I appreciate the color consult and the time they put in to getting it just right, achieving natural-looking results, etc.

I was able to schedule a fascial for my 10 year old great niece while I got a haircut. The Omagi staff worked it out so it could happen. SHE LOVED IT. Vanessa was awesome. That is all she talked about the rest of the day. Thank you Omagi for always going above and beyond and letting me create a special memory with my niece.

Katie was very professional and friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. The Aromatherapy, brow wax and foot wrap included were added bonuses. My facial experience was exactly what I needed.

If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere, top-notch (and earth friendly!) products, and highly trained stylists then Omagi salon is the place for you. I've been visiting Omagi since 2013 and have always had a wonderful experience!
