I have been here three times now and I’m impressed every time. I have long, straight hair and just need a trim a few times a year- it’s really hard to find a place in LA that wont charge $100+ for this! The $50 haircut at SOHO includes a wash and blow dry and style and they do a GREAT job! My appointment always runs on time (can reserve a time slot on their website). They have an open and easy free parking lot right next door. I love it here! I usually have Tomo as my stylist and he is excellent! Thank you, SOHO!

I absolutely adore this place. Tomo is always gentle with my hair, and the results are the same every time. I usually get a cut that comes with a blowout, but I am excited to get color done here as well. Their fixed prices are great for thick, long-haired clients. A lot of salons charge extra for length. This place is my new go-to!

I've been searching since I moved to LA for an affordable haircut. I've never been pleased with any haircut, whether expensive or inexpensive, so I'd rather find a good deal. I found a random TikTok about this place and realized they had great reviews on Yelp and Google and decided to give it a shot. They have a website where you can easily make an appointment convenient for me I hate talking on the phone. The salon is on Melrose and having a free 1-hour parking lot is a big plus! I booked my appointment with Tomo since he came up in most of the reviews I read. I showed him some pics of what I wanted and got started right away. First hair wash that included a little scalp massage which was nice. Then he started to cut my hair and made sure to check in with me again about the length. Ended with a blowout. I need to learn how to blow out my hair at home because by the end I was shocked at how well the haircut turned out. Normally I like my hair curled after a haircut but this showed how nicely my layers fell. I wish I had asked Tomo to take a back shot because the layers looked so nice from behind too.

Got a haircut by Ayumi. It was amazing! She did better than I even asked. I’m extremely precise and picky with my hair, BUT she did an amazing job. I found my new salon and totally recommend! 🤍

I had a hair cut with Tomo last December, I showed him the hair style I want. We didn’t talk much during the hair cutting session. When I told him the side of my hair needed to be fixed ( I want it to be shorter and more layer ), he looked like he got angry because I can tell from his face and how he treated my hair. He might be good with long hair styling, but not good at short hair styling. And I called and left message two times to ask if he can fix my hair. He replied he will get back to me but I never hear from them. And now it’s been more than 1 month. I am very disappointed on their customer service and will not recommend this place. In the end, I had to go to another hair salon to fix my hair.

I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced hair cut in LA since the last salon I went to closed. I found this place via TikTok of all places and was super impressed. I booked about a week in advance, free parking, wash & styling all for $50 (+ tip of course). I’d for sure come back again, really great quality and I was in and out in less than 1 hour!

i came here for the first time because i got videos about this salon on tiktok and i saw good reviews on google as well. however, my experience was terrible. first of all, there was a huge language barrier with the stylist (ayumi) and i think that was one of the biggest issue i had. second of all, i clearly showed her the pic of style i wanted (attached) but my final cut is super blunt and not at all like the layers i asked for. not to mention she damaged the hell out of my hair with a really high-heat blow out that was over the top and it honestly hid how bad of this cut was at the time. below is what it it looks like after i washed and dried my hair the same night. she gave me a blow out before she was done cutting and before i could even assess what the cut looked like…. now i have to go to another salon and try to fix this mess. i’m sad this place didn’t work for me and i’m sad about my hair too!
