This is the most terrible experience. June is NOT a hairdresser. 1. She did not use a paper strip on the neck; 2. She started cutting my hair dry without wetting it with water; 3. She started cutting not the back, but the right side near the ear; 4. She cut with clippers, not scissors; 5. During the haircut, the protective cape fell off me several times, because of this, my hair was all over my clothes. Why didn't I stop her? Because she started cutting my hair on the right side near the ear, and it was like I walked out into the street with this. I was ready to endure everything that I wrote above for the sake of the result. When she finished, I took a photo of myself on my phone. What I saw brought me to tears. She said she would fix everything and sat me back in the chair. In the end, she didn't fix anything. When I paid, they tried to return my money. I still left the money, without a tip, of course. Now I urgently need a normal hairdresser. Please don't ever go there. // I've never left a bad review before, but not this time! The terrible haircut, my tears, and ruined mood are too expensive.
That was a really unpleasant experience. The place did not pass either the vibes check or the end result check. I am a struggling single mom on food stamps, so it took me a while to save up a little bit of money to cut my super long hair first time in several years, as it was hard to deal with that length. Several other places in the area charge $20 per cut (like Heidy’s Salon on Sunset), but they were closed that early in the day. Called this place, they quoted $25 for a straight shoulder length cut, no layers. I decided to give this place a chance. Asked for shoulder length or an inch shorter, double checked that it would be $25. They didn’t even wet the hair, just sprayed a little from the spray bottle, in the end not even the drop of product to protect the hair from the heat of the hair dryer, didn’t use the flat iron to smooth out the frizz. Just cut almost dry hair, then blew on it a bit with a blow dryer pretty much. The result was - weird hair of the Lord Farquaad or that Snow White’s hair from that last live movie. Frizzy, dull, way shorter than "shoulder length or an inch shorter". I paid, and the hairdresser (the plaque at her station read Nana), looks at me with dissatisfaction and goes, "what about tip?". I got out another $3 (again, struggling single mom on food stamps, who scraped up first time in several years to get her hair cut just because it was really hard to maintain it, and double checked in advance that I would only have to pay $25). She looks at my tip and laughed derisively, I’m not kidding you. I felt like I was spit on. In addition, there were flies flying in the salon (in November!), and the stylist spoke very little very broken English. Sure will never be back in this horrible place again, or do not recommend it to anyone.
This place is a gem! I went for a trim and June did a perfect job. It was so quick and easy, will definitely be coming back! 💇🏽♀️
I was very fond of this place. Everyone is so nice and smiling ^^ . I enjoyed this moment and like my haircut. I recommand positively 😀
A very good hairdresser. The stuff is very friendly. Familybusiness I assume. My hair is very thin and was treated so well. Very good and nice trimming of my ends. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended .
Being a minority myself, it's always nice to support small businesses. Highly affordable prices with friendly staff! If you are a newcomer bring pictures of what you want to show the stylists. It will be helpful! I drive 45 mins just to get my cut here. Hope they stay around for many many more years!
A good friend recommended I get my hair cut here by Esther, as he has been her customer for many years. Esther is amazing! I showed her a photo of a fairly complicated asymmetrical pixie type haircut - a big change for me after a grow out period- and she replicated it with precision and grace, making minor and thoughtful adjustments for my face shape. I couldn’t be happier with the beautiful results. I’ve been trying for decades to get the best version of this haircut where it doesn’t require styling and product to look good and Esther made it happen quickly. Everyone in this salon is talented and so friendly. Great prices too. I will definitely return!
