Hair by Lucy (appointment only)

Lucy was my consistent go-to hair stylist when I lived in LA. She is great conversation and really great at what she does!

Been going here for a few years now and Lucy has always been extremely consistent and professional! Enjoyable to conversate with and really makes you feel at ease while getting your haircut. Parking is free and spacious so that's a huge plus in this area.

My 9:30 AM appointment was honored in a timely manner and there was one other client in the salon. Lucy works alone and does it all - we started with a consultation and dry cut in the chair before shampoo and styling. I have medium length hair, asked for a bang trim and to lighten the volume of hair; Lucy gave me exactly what I asked for. She pays close attention and cuts with confidence - while cutting my hair she noticed my dry scalp and used a specialized shampoo and scalp massage tool to help heal my scalp. Lucy works quickly and efficiently, tending to the other client finishing up a perm while my scalp treatment worked its magic for about 5 minutes. After rinsing the shampoo and conditioner, we moved back to the chair for touch-ups and styling. She styled my hair well and you can tell she is confident in what she does with her strokes. Because she works quickly, there were a few rough moments - she almost poked me in the eye with her finger, my head bumped a little during the wash, my shirt got a little wet, and I heard a bit of my hair zap during the blow dry - I am not hurt and my hair still looks good so no harsh feelings. For a Friday, my appointment started right at 9:30 AM, finishing around 10:15 AM and walked out the door by 10:20 AM. The total came to $40 before tip for a dry cut, wash, and styling (in that order). I am visiting from out of town so I can’t say I will return, but the end result is exactly what I was looking for in the amount of time I had available this trip. Thank you Lucy! I am a regular. Nice hair cut and reasonable price. But Lucy went to rest. I hope she returns soon. This salon's owner was changed and new lady's skill was not good anymore.. It's cheap but it has reason why it is. Maybe I'll not be there anymore.

I came here for a haircut a few weeks ago and had a great experience! I showed up early for my appointment and was seen early. I had really long hair that I haven't cut in years and she knew exactly where the dead ends were and cut them all off. She gave me great, soft layers and it all took less than 15 minutes. My hair looks so healthy! I will definitely be back!

I don’t think Lucy is running this establishment anymore. A lady named Judy cut my hair. I asked for feathered bangs, Judy didn’t part my hair or spray water on it. She just brushed my hair forward and just started cutting without a sense of direction. I basically ended up with a bowl cut. I hated my hair and went elsewhere to fix my hair. please do not go here, i regret trusting the stylist with my hair.

I had made an appointment a week prior sent pictures of my current hair and pics of what I wanted we agreed on a price and a date for my appointment. So when I arrive to my appointment she’s helping someone tells me to wait 20 min while she finished. Totally understandable so I wait about 40 min for her to finish she comes to me starts feeling my hair and tells me she can’t help me today that I have to reschedule because my hair is too "Thick" and it’s going to be a lot of work and time. I explain that I requested the day off of work for this appointment. Therefore missed a day of pay for her to do my hair. She didn’t care said she had another appointment for later. Point is this place is so unprofessional. They are not considerate of people’s time.
