Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Livonia MI

I just took my four-year-old son here for his first real haircut, and I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this place!!!! He’s had little trims at home before, but this was his first official haircut, and the experience completely exceeded every expectation. The ladies here are absolutely phenomenal, especially Irini genuinely one of the kindest, most patient stylists I’ve ever met. From the moment we walked in, she took the time to explain everything to my son before doing it. She showed him each tool, let him feel the buzzer on his hand first, and reassured him that it was safe and wouldn’t hurt. Because of her calm and gentle approach, my son had zero fear he was actually excited the entire time! Her patience, warmth, and understanding with a young child made all the difference. You can tell she truly cares about kids and wants them to have a positive experience. On top of that, the haircut itself was perfect. My son has curly hair, and it had gotten so long that it was weighing his curls down. Irini really listened to me, heard exactly what I was hoping for, and absolutely nailed it. When we got home and he took a quick shower, his curls bounced back beautifully exactly how I’ve been wanting them to look for so long. He looks AMAZING. This place turned what could have been a stressful "first haircut" into a fun, confidence-boosting, wonderful memory for both of us. We will 100% be coming here for all future haircuts. I cannot recommend Irini and this salon enough truly the best experience we could have hoped for! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I made a birthday appointment for my daughter at Sharkey’s with Ameerah and had an incredible experience! Our original plan was to have my daughter’s ears pierced but we added a haircut as well. Ameerah washed my daughter’s hair, gave her a very clean and detailed hair cut, then gave her the most beautiful braids I have ever seen. The ear piercing experience was amazing. My daughter just turned 8 and has been talking about getting her ears pierced for over a year but wasn’t sure she was ready yet. I am so glad I brought her here. She was nervous at first but after her hair she was completely comfortable, calm, and ready. She was shocked by how quick and painless it was! She picked very cute earrings and was so happy. Nail painting was included with her cut so it felt like a mini spa day just for her! Great experience, thank you Ameerah!

😊❤️my daughter look beautiful, love the employee's they did such a wonderful job. And love the hairstyle person she such a wonderful angel took her time with my daughter. And also did a wonderful job doing my daughter nails. Will Definitely come back again❤️(update) I came back here again 😅my daughter love coming here. They even offered games for youth children.

Update: we’ve been here multiple times and my 7 month old also got a haircut here. Ameerah is our favorite person for our kids. Shes calm and kind and so pleasant. Our toddler hated getting haircuts but has gotten used to her. Highly recommend this location and Ameerah! Had a great experience at this store! We set up an appointment a couple days prior and when we arrived, they got us seated immediately. The location was clean and had every streaming service so the kids could watch whatever they love and little toys to play with during the haircut. Jennifer was our stylist and we were so pleased with how she handled my two year old son Adam, who pretty much had a melt down as soon as he was seated in the chair. She was gentle, sweet, efficient, and gave him the best haircut he’s ever had (out of 5 different haircut shops we’ve been to). We declined the shampoo and hair dry just because he probably wouldn’t have handled it too well, but it was so great that they offer those services. He was a pretty happy kiddo by the end of the appointment with his balloon and lollipop. Overall, it was a great experience and we expect to be back to see Jennifer regularly for our little guys haircuts!

My child's first haircut anywhere and he had a blast. The stylists were friendly, helpful, and engaging with my son. He had a ton of fun and we'll be back for sure.

Our first time here. We were greeted promtply. They explained to the girls what would take place and the order which they would happen. They took great care of each girl and we couldnt be happier. We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful, fun experience for children! They have so many fun choices to choose from, different hair styles, colors, jewelry! They even send your child home with balloons, stickers, and suckers! My daughter was so happy! I'll be back for sure!
