I really wanted to love this place, i really did! My hairstylist was so kind and the atmosphere of the salon is amazing. However, I wanted a full blonde highlight and my hairstylist, Kourtney decided to do a partial. No big deal. First issue is the length of time I was there. My appointment was at 10 am, and I didn’t even leave the salon until nearly 3 in the afternoon! I’ve had lots of hair appointments in my life and I’ve NEVER had it last past 2 hours. I could excuse that if my hair looked any different leaving the salon! Nearly 5 hours and my hair looks the same if not worse than before. Attached are photos, the photo taken outside is the before, photo taken in the mirror is after. I also found a weird bleach streak across the top of my head that is hideous and many people have commented on. Another thing, it was 300 dollars! 300 dollars for my hair to look exactly the same? In my opinion this is not a 300 dollar hair dye. The booking website said 200. Maybe this was an off day for the stylist, but I wish her off day didn’t cost me 300 dollars for mediocre hair.

I’ve been going to Addis (owner) for over 10 years! If you have curly hair and need someone that knows how to cut and style curly hair - she’s the one you want. She specializes in textured/curly hair and know her wait list can get long! I’ve known many other people that go to other stylists at Roots (if you don’t have curly or have color needs) that also do a great job too!

This was my first ever curly cut and I could not be more happier, it was everything I wanted and more, I almost cried I was so happy. Syd was so personable and she immediately made me feel comfortable, the wash was super relaxing and she shaped my hair exactly how I wanted, she basically read my mind when it came to shape and length. I will only be going to see her from now on

Addis is an incredible hair stylist and business owner. I worked with her on the interior design of her lovely salon, and I saw how much passion & love she has for her work. I recently got my hair done (cut and color) and loved the whole process and love how it’s turned out. Megan was my hairdresser and she was fantastic. She walked me through the process (I was nervous), she recommended products in various price ranges for me, and even helped me pick a shade to match my skin tone. Overall she made me feel very comfortable. Also, the decor in this studio is THE CUTEST.

Had the best experience with Addis today on my curly cut! This was my first experience ever, where I felt like a stylist understood my hair and what it needed. I left the salon feeling like a brand new woman! Embracing my curly hair magic.. thankful to have found this place.

Hands down the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten! Addis listens to what you want and helps choose a cut that will work with your hair. I have never gotten more compliments on my hair. Growing up with curly hair was such a struggle until I met Addis. And to know her is to love her. She is one of the kindest most thoughtful people I’ve ever met and I thoroughly enjoy our time together.
