I’ve been going to Michael for 14 years, and I can honestly say there is no one I trust more with my hair. His talent, consistency, and attention to detail are unmatched. Felt compelled to leave a review. I have been coming here for the past couple of years, but I recently moved out of Lexington, and I’m only in the area occasionally, and can’t always predict when. I usually see Austin, who’s a very good stylist, and a very nice person. He takes the time to give you a solid haircut, doesn’t rush, listens to your concerns and seems genuinely invested in making sure you get what you want, while also letting you know what he thinks will work and look best, for you. I’ve always left feeling good about my hair when I see him. However, recently, I happened to be in town, and was unaware it was his day off. To be fair, I probably should have waited for the next time we were both in town at the same time..but I was assigned to Michael, and frankly I got one of the worst haircuts and experiences I’ve ever had at a salon. The entire haircut is poorly done and lazy execution. I just plan on wearing a hat for the next 6 months, which is what it’ll take for my hair to grow back, so I can have someone fix it. He oddly buzzed the hairs on my hairline. Why? It’s lazy and looks silly. I now have a strange looking bald spot on my left hairline where the hairs are so short , yet the rest of my hairline was left natural and long. I have no idea how to fix this. It looks ridiculous. My hair looks as if I allowed a toddler to cut it. Even my wife was quite shocked at how poorly the execution was. He also shaved the side of my head so high, that my hair part is way too far up. The entire experience just felt rushed, like he just wanted to be done and couldn’t have cared less, with zero pride in his work. Look, I get it, not everyone can be elite at what they do, but when it feels like the entire experience was bereft of effort, that’s when it’s just unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, I pay the price for this, for the next 5-6 months I have to feel bad about it, when I see it daily, and hide it, until I can grow it out long enough to have someone make it presentable. I highly recommend against this stylist for men’s cuts..he doesn’t have the skill or desire to do good work. At the risk of sounding pretentious, which is not my intention… I’ve been fortunate enough to live all over the the United States, and to be in the advantageous position to have my hair cut by celeb stylist Joe Hamer and NYC Fashion Week stylist and Redken Artist Teresa Mockler, and I’ve seen passionate and good hair work. Unfortunately, this experience and terrible haircut will likely keep me from ever returning to this business.

Positive vibes from the minute I arrive, from the personal greeting from their friendly receptionist to the focus and listening skills of the stylist (Michael). I love my results and I have come here for years now. I never hesitate to recommend them. They have many skilled stylists.

Yesterday was our first appointment with Chrissy, who was amazing with my little boy. We arrived late (after initially going to the wrong location), but she was so kind about the mix-up and took us right back. She did a cute low fade, was so kind to him throughout the appointment (which was appreciated as he ordinarily doesn't enjoy haircuts), and even styled his hair after the cut (which isn't the norm at some places)! We were so happy with our visit; Chrissy has definitely earned a new customer!

Karah did an amazing job on my haircut! I got a bit taken off, added some layers, and curtain bangs. She did exactly what I asked for and kept checking in to make sure I liked everything as she went, which I really appreciated. The price was good and it was quick. I’m happy with how it turned out. I’ll definitely come back and recommend her to my friends!
