Self-Care Saturday turned into Son Day 🤎 Today we found ourselves at Raw Remedies, and let me tell you — this place is a whole experience. A true one-stop shop: hair products, body butters for men and women, books, soaps… you name it. The space was beautiful, cozy, and so welcoming. Instant good energy. My 7-year-old was styled by Rea, and whew… I could rant and rave about her all day. She was AMAZING with my tender-headed son. He’s been growing his hair for one full year today, and this was the perfect way to celebrate it. He received a full wash and a dreadlock retwist—and when I say efficient, I mean 50 minutes total. Yes, you read that right. Washed and completely finished in 50 minutes. My son chose to wear his dreadlocks straight down (his preference), but Rea absolutely offers styling as well. Now let’s talk about speed because it deserves its own moment: She completed two heads—one child and one adult—in under two hours. That alone had me impressed. And the products? Baby… their shampoos and conditioners smell SO good, and his hair feels like silk. Silk. On dreadlocks. I know, I was shook too. Raw Remedies offers therapeutic beauty services and products, and it truly shows. My son LOVED his hair—he could not stay out of the mirror. If you’re looking for care, skill, speed, and genuine intention in one place… this is it.

I went to Raw Remedies to get starter locks have to go in a few months. I noticed that I wasn’t getting treated like the other customers were back in September. Miss Bobby did my hair and I told her I didn’t like it and she admitted that she didn’t give me as much as attention that she should have so all I’m saying here is don’t go here if you have an opinion because the owner doesn’t like if you go against what she suggest if I’m paying you $120 to get my hair done you should do my hair the way I want it not what you think I want again when I went there in December she got offended and she got upset because I told her she twisted my hair the wrong way and she didn’t like that she told me out of all the years she’s been doing hair. This ain’t never happened, but I heard him on the phone with another unsatisfied customer so if you’re planning to go Here don’t have your own opinion because your owner don’t like it if you have your own opinion and she never called me for another hairdo, but that’s fine cause I was already planning to find me another Loctician. She’s not the only Stylist in this town and I can go somewhere else and get way better service. She has too many people in my head number one. She’s overbooked. She’s trying to do too many things and she’s letting her new clientele fall by the wayside and so for me it’s a zero I won’t be coming back and anybody to see this post take heed If you have an opinion about your hair, the owner doesn’t like it. She wants to tell you what she thinks she needs to be done. yes I thought the atmosphere was great when I went there, but if you ain’t one of her old customers you don’t get treated the same. I feel like she pushed me to the side and then give me the same treatment as she gave her other customers that has been come to her for years, but no worries I’ll find somebody else to do my hair cause I don’t need to give you $110 every two every month and not be satisfied with my hair cause my hair always comes undone always but thank you for your not good service

We live out of town and I Contacted the shop to see if they would be able to get my daughter in when we arrived on the weekend. We were so happy they could accommodate us so quickly. We are so happy we came here. My daughter loves her hair. The stylists Elle and the owner Bobbie are amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. The first picture is before we got to the shop and the others are the beginning middle and end result. We are so so happy with the work that was provided we will DEFINITELY BE BACK.

I got my starter locs done by Nae last summer. While the sizing of the locs was fine, I was very disappointed overall. I sent her several pictures of the style I wanted, none with a middle part. She never consulted me and went ahead and gave me a middle part anyway. The part was crooked and not centered with my face. It was not what I asked for, and I believe it is the stylist’s responsibility to confirm before making such a permanent decision. She also gave me advice that many experienced locticians reject, such as telling me not to put water on my hair. In reality, most experts agree that water helps locs mature faster. For someone new to the process, that kind of misinformation is harmful. I eventually found another loctician. Raw Remedies has a reputation in the loc community, but the cost is high and, in my experience, not fully justified. I have gone to locticians in Asia, the U.S. East Coast, Europe, and Las Vegas, and every single one of them provided better customer service and charged less than Raw Remedies. Nae was by far the least personable. During the appointment, she stayed largely talking on the phone and hardly interacted with me. She’s a sweet girl when you actually talk to her, but not the loctician for me.

I went natural back in 2013. For many years, I kept my hair in its fro state, and I was the only one to touch and manipulate my hair. Just in the last 2-3 years, I have been seriously contemplating starting my own loc journey, but I am VERY particular. I knew about Raw Remedies for quite a while, and decided to finally take the plunge. I cannot adequately convey how much of a peaceful, educational, and overall pleasant experience it was sitting down with Bobbie. I love her salon. And today was my second visit, where I had my starters retwisted by El (I hope I'm not messing up the spelling? If so, I am deeply sorry). My locs are gorgeous! My hair moisturized, nourished, healthy, and happy...as a result, it has grown a LOT since my first visit. I am always called back on time, I am always asked questions about how the process of going for me, and there is always patience and space for me to ask all my questions. I can't rave about this place enough. Thank you Raw Remedies for all of your passion and expertise, your professionalism and your kindness. Everyone there is just amazing.

I wish I can give more ⭐️ ‘s . Bobbie was amazing. She attended to me as soon as I walked into the business. The customer service was superb and professional. It smelled like heaven when you enter the business. Everything is raw and authentic. If you’re looking for natural products for locks or just need proper hair and skin care essentials, look no further. This place is the real deal!! The book store next door was lit 🔥. I’m in love!! Thank you raw remedies!! My new hair and skin care location in Vegas ! Period!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I waited about 15 minutes before anybody noticed I was here. However Bobbie did a great job on my wash and deep conditioning! She scratched and massaged my scalp to make sure it was clean. She knows how to handle natural hair!
