Matthew Ryan Salon & Garden

I had K tip extensions installed be Emily P. and unfortunately the installation did not hold up at all. Within days I experienced excessive shedding and multiple bonds slipping out. In less than two weeks I lost a significant amount of the extension density, far beyond what would be considered normal shedding. These extensions Last of Me 3 weeks when they should have lasted 3 to 6 months. I raised concerns immediately, including at the time of the appointment and again within days as the shedding continued. I was ultimately told that no refund would be considered and that any resolution required returning in person for assessment and adjustment only which wouldn't fix the fact that all of the hair had already fallen out. I have worn extensions for years and have never experienced this level of shedding or bond failure. Based on my experience, I would caution others to be very clear about expectations, longevity, and resolution options before proceeding. Reply: Thank you for responding. For clarification: my K-tip extensions were installed by Emily P., who represented herself as an affiliated stylist to your salon. My booking and payment were coordinated through her directly, which may explain why your internal system does not reflect my visit. I can provide screenshots of our messages, booking confirmation, and payment receipts to verify the service took place. My review reflects my actual experience and the results of the service from this stylist.

Best place I’ve ever gotten a haircut ❤️ I went in for bangs and they were so patient and kept cutting little bits off until I was happy with it. I couldn’t recommend it enough! Alison especially!

The first time I got my hair done with Chloe was actually because I had just gotten a really bad haircut from a different salon and needed someone to save it. (It was sooo bad and was cut way too short for what I was wanting.) Chloe is amazing and somehow fixed it, she literally gave me one of the best haircuts I’d ever had!! I’ve been going back to her for balayages and I’m always so so happy with the results. She’s always able to bring me back to summer and give me a sun-kissed blonde look. I definitely recommend going to her for any highlighting you want done or just a cut, she’ll do an amazing job! I literally trust her with my life haha

If you are looking for a hidden gem in Lansing. Look no more. Trendy upscale salon with great service. If you need blonde highlights or extensions Emily is your gal. Go spend the day and relax.

Alison is the best! She is prompt to schedule and works with your schedule. Nice haircuts for curly hair.
