I always love every moment of time I get at Skyline! Roni always gives me the most beautiful hair and she’s amazing! I cannot recommend this salon and Roni enough! Here is one year apart but still beautiful dos! The shaved was November 2024
this salon is the best I’ve ever been to and is the standard I will hold future salons to if I ever move and can’t come here anymore! but while I live in the KC area, I’ll be loyal to Skyline 🙂 I had Katie dye my hair for the second time and asked her to also cut some bangs for me and face framing layers. I love how it turned out! She was very knowledgeable about my hair type and gave me some recommendations on wash routine that is making my hair look better day to day (my original routine was too heavy for my fine hair so I looked greasy a lot 😅). Katie is also really fun to talk to! also, the ambiance of this place is awesome. I’m normally late to things but show up early here just because I want to hang out in the space! they offer you a drink (coffee, wine, beer, seltzers, maybe more but those are my favorites), and the washing room / glazing room is separate so they have a big movie screen in there and always play interesting stuff. also the music they play is always great too, the first time I went I felt like they had taken it straight from my Spotify, the second time they played more rock but it was all familiar bangers! and their bathrooms are cool too, one is an Elvis design and the other is like 80’s/90’s magazine themed maybe?
Love this salon! From the receptionists to the stylists, everyone is so friendly and warm. Makes the experience alone worth the appointment. Then, there's the hair. Jasmine has been amazing- great recommendations, better execution. I've also never seen a person leave without a cut or color that wasn't flattering or attractive. Highly recommend this place. It was a lucky find for me, and I couldnt be happier for taking the chance.
I’m so grateful I found Jasmine. She’s an incredible listener and has truly transformed my hair. She treats it with so much care, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like my hair is genuinely healthy. I also really appreciate how kind and thoughtful everyone at the salon is—the atmosphere is bright, clean, and always welcoming. I’d recommend this salon to anyone. They’re skilled with all hair types, colors, and styles. I’ve been transitioning back to my natural hair, and Jasmine has done an amazing job bringing life back into my fine hair. Couldn’t be happier!
I want to start by saying the atmosphere at Skyline was lovely, and everyone was really kind! However I think communication and transparency between stylists and clients has a lot of room for improvement. I booked a partial highlight and cut, and confirmed over the phone that I’d have enough time for both at my appointment. However, after arriving at my appointment, the stylist told me she wouldn’t have time for both because she needed to do a test strand, and she gave me the option to book two separate appointments, but said she absolutely could not do both that day. This confused me because the test strand was fully developed before our haircut was even over, so theoretically she should have had time for both? But I agreed to book the second appointment for a color with a different stylist. The front desk then booked me for a partial foilyage — a more expensive service — to "be safe in case they needed to foil." The stylist who did my color was very caring and thoughtful, but I felt she made a lot of choices without communicating. I asked for a partial highlight and tone, but I received a partial foilyage, gloss and tone. When she started putting the gloss on, I was genuinely confused because I had no idea what it was for, but I trusted her. Then after my color was done and she was styling it, she noticed some layering looked off and grabbed her scissors to start fixing it… she didn’t ask me if this was okay, and again, I trusted her, but it was a bit off putting to have her messing with a haircut I’d just gotten that I liked perfectly fine. By all means my hair looked great in the end, but my main concern is that the lack of communication made this whole process significantly more expensive than what I budgeted for. There was no conversation about higher cost for the services I was given, but after both appointments, I ended up spending over $100 more than my original appointment was priced at — and that’s before tipping both stylists. Pretty sure I was charged for an extra long haircut as well, when my hair was certainly at mid-back and that’s what a standard long haircut is described as on the website. I would have REALLY appreciated the stylists asking if I was okay with paying more for what they planned to do, or even simply giving me a heads up about the cost. Unfortunately, the lack of communication really put a damper on my experience and my ability to enjoy my hair after.
If you have been looking for someone to do incredible, and fantastical hair color; I would say to look no further because Roni made my hair a piece of art (and candy). So it was my first time getting my hair done here with the extraordinary Roni, and I’d like to say it shan’t be the last! Visually this place is really cool, there’s a lot of neat decorations to look at and the way everything is set up reminded me of those old Barbie and my scene make over games. Out the windows you can see the skyline of the city, very cool! When I got there I was a little lost but the person at the front desk with wonderful hair was super warm, kind and they offered tea, water, coffee, wine or beer! It felt like a special little treat to be there and Roni was so fun and easy to talk to! Roni seemed to know exactly what I was going for, walked me through the process and I filled out a little form of what I wanted and what we were going to do and pricing(which I love!). For my hair I wanted tealishaquaish roots with purpleish tips, and it came out better than I could have imagined! I’m very excited to have found a person that I can trust with my hair pizzaz, and a super comfortable salon that feels like I’m having a little hair day adventure. Thank you so much Roni!
I was given an appointment with Erica as a Christmas gift, and I’ve found my stylist! She’s experienced, personable, capable, and knowledgeable. She advised my daughter on her hair fall issues and me on wavy hair management and gave me a style I’ve been enjoying since. Conversation was easy and light. Great experience.
