Edify Salon & Extension Bar

This salon is a such an asset to the downtown JC area! It’s not just the service that keeps me going back, but the outstanding team as well. Every time I walk in, I always feel welcome by the girls who make it a point to say hi to you. When I first moved to the area, I struggled to find a salon/stylist that I clicked with. Ketmanee, the owner of Edify, was recommended to me through a mutual friend and I am forever grateful! Not only is she one of the most talented and knowledgeable hair magicians I have ever met, but she is also incredibly down to earth and personable. Her essence is felt throughout the salon and you can really tell how much she loves her space and her team. Ketmanee takes the time to listen to my needs/concerns and I always leave feeling better than when I came in. I also appreciate how environmentally cautious they are because you don’t seem to see that a lot around this area. (This was thoroughly explained to me at my first visit and I was so impressed) I would recommend any of the stylists here in a heartbeat and look forward to my next visit!

My stylist is Megan and she is AWESOME. She takes the time to listen to what you want and what your hair will actually do. She is the first stylist in 34 years to tell me I had a cowlick in my front hairline. But she was still able to give me the style I wanted. The care and level of detail at this salon is top notch. Highly, highly recommend. The higher price points are soooooooooo worth it, I promise!

Megan added extensions too my hair. They have extensions there but I brought my own and mine were more of a yellow blonde and on the ends of my hair it’s more of a platinum blonde and she was able too get the extensions and my hair too match up perfectly. Amazing hair studio. They also gave me a great experience I felt taken well cared of I’ve never had this type of great experience I had with this salon. They make you feel really welcomed and also I noticed while I was there and lady was getting a hair style I don’t know if she requested that hair style but if she did they had about 2-3 girls working on this lady’s hair and blended her hair perfectly and wouldn’t stop till she was satisfied with the style! I would recommend this hair salon to anyone.

Great experience! It was a wonderful time with a relaxed environment. I immediately got welcomed at the door followed by an offer for a drink. My hair stylist for the day, Buffy Bays, took tremendous care of me. Asked all the right questions, took all the careful procedures, as well as informed me of more facts regarding my hair type (wavy curly). Their products were amazing. I left the salon with a smile on my face. Will be back again!

Cierra Southerland is my go-to stylist! She always does an amazing job on my hair, and I’ve been going to her since she was in beauty school. She has such a great energy, and she truly loves what she does. She’s a phenomenal person and an even better stylist!

First visit to the salon. The head spa was wonderful… stimulating and relaxing at the same time. 🥰 ……. My hair is very curly and Megan did a fantastic job with the cut! She explained why a particular cut was best for curly hair and took a lot of time to teach me ways to style my curly hair. She is very knowledgeable, as well as warm, friendly and encouraging. The vibe in this salon overall is welcoming, warm and positive from everyone. Thank you all for a very pleasant afternoon!

Absolutely LOVED my experience at Edify! Going to a new salon after moving is always a scary experience but Addie made me feel so comfortable and did such an amazing job with my hair. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to feel like a queen. She took her time really understanding what my hair goals were and explaining to me what the process was going to look like. She was also fully transparent on pricing. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming for all! Can’t wait to come back!
