Skyelor does my hair and my nephews! His haircuts always add so much fullness to my fine hair. When I started coming to him 2 years ago, my hair was so noticeably broken and damaged. My hair is completely healthy, not broken, and growing now with his help!! Marcie and Skyelor put their expertise together and collaborate to give me exactly what I ask for every time! My nephew started getting haircuts at 4 years old with Skyelor. He had a haircut trauma and it was nearly impossible to get through a haircut. After only a few times of Skyelor’s patience (I mean hours worth), he overcame his fear completely! 🙌🏼 He is especially talented in working with kids of all ages!

Lindsey was super awesome. I made the appointment for my mom, who hadn't gotten her hair cut in over 15 years. My mom was emotional, and Lindsey understood the assignment. Lindsey took her time and gave my mom the step by step info as she was doing it. Lindsey was professional and amazing. My mom has found her new hair stylist.

Had been going here almost a year and would not recommend. First experience was with a bad stylist who they’ve since let go. I wanted to give another chance with other stylist Lindsey. First haircut was fine but very short which shocked me but it grew back. Eventually I wanted to try highlights. Would not recommend trying anything you’re uncertain about, without color consultation, or expect much above the bare minimum here. My first highlights were extremely disappointing and felt like I wasted my money. But every time I was ever done with a color they’d state "oh the lighting is bad in here, it’ll be better outside, oh it’ll lighten up over time, etc." so if you wanna pay lots of money and leave not with what you asked for, this is your place. Don’t expect them to pay attention when showing photos of what you want, consult in a way that’d professional or knowledgeable, or even style of trim your hair. You have to schedule a trim extra onto your appointment and they’ll most likely just blow dry your hair straight and run out of time every appointment for any curling. After 3-4 times of my appointment being rushed and going over time, finally the owner suggested putting a note into the system. Also, don’t use there system to schedule you appointment. I did once and it was wrong and they said to just call. Owner was receptive at first to my complaints but would not admit her stylist didn’t do a good job when I got darker hair and wanted dimension. See photos, over a month later it has not "lightened with time" and still no dimension. They charged me for partial highlight and not just all over color and refused refund. At this point it is unfixable ti me because I don’t want to damage my hair further. Will not be going back and owner will side with her stylist over customer and said I didn’t show photos of what I wanted so make sure you save your photos you show or it’ll turn into a court trial of she said, she said. I showed photos that were too dark previous colorings I’ve had, showed inspiration photos that were too light but had ribboning, balayage, and lighter carmel pieces which I’d been telling her I wanted multiple times. Facts are I left with hair dye all over my ears, forehead, and at the end of day she should’ve said, "let’s make today a consult and keep talking through this" rather than rushing, relying on another stylist for advice who wasn’t looking at the photos either and leaving me again with not getting what I wanted.

Both the artists do a fantastic job and are good company! Highly recommend.

Bambu is one of the best salons I have ever been too. I moved to the area and was looking for an Aveda salon because I love their products. I am so happy to have found Bambu! My hair always looks so fabulous when I’m finished with an appointment. Marcie has done so many fun things to my head. Color, cut, style, you name it, she’s done it and it’s been amazing. I will not go anywhere else. I trust her with my hair from now until the end of time. Did I mention that she is hilarious? We have so much fun it’s like seeing a friend and gabbing about our lives for a couple hours every 8 weeks. Love it!

Cute salon located in the heart of Broad Ripple. I personally love the enormous comb and what it adds to the art inspired local environment in the area. Support local businesses!!!

I was on the hunt for a new salon after my girl jacked her prices past my pay grade. A quick Google search led me to Bambu. Very good ratings and I now know why. Super friendly staff and listened carefully to what I wanted. I am picky about my hair. It took two years to train my previous salon to understand I wanted short layers to bring out the curls, a certain color and Please let me walk out without styling. Bambu got it right the first time. I was extremely nervous about color and cut but I couldn't be happier. But the best part? The price with tip was HALF of what I was paying!!! Bambu has a new loyal client.
