I had a really disappointing experience here and would not recommend this location to anyone with curly, textured, or ethnic hair. I booked the most basic blowout and clearly noted in my reservation before the appointment that I have curly hair. Despite that, the stylist did not disclose that she was inexperienced with textured hair. The blowout took over an hour, and when she finished, my roots were not straight at all and were visibly frizzy. I asked if she could try to smooth the roots, and another stylist came over to offer advice from the side but would not take over or actually fix the issue. It felt like they were trying to "salvage" the situation rather than deliver the service I paid for. At checkout, I apologized for critiquing the work (which I honestly shouldn’t have had to do), and I was told, "We just did a training on curly hair, so I think this was a good learning opportunity for her." I don’t believe clients should be paying to be learning opportunities—especially when expectations were clearly communicated in advance. If you have straight hair, you may be fine here. But if you have curly or textured hair, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Edited to respond to owner response: Not true, sorry. I actually suggested they use a flat iron to fix the bad blowout, and the stylists declined as they suggested that would be "putting too much heat" on my hair. Also, multiple products were applied to my hair by your stylists, which did not address the poor technique. Lastly, I was in the chair for over an hour, plenty of time for a qualified professional to do a decent blowout (I’ve had many in the past).

I’ve had the pleasure of using Blo Blow Dry Bar for so many events. One of my go-tos is a gift card for friends. The service is quick yet luxurious! You’re in and out and you look fabulous! Great for both makeup and hair!

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with the Blo Homewood location while traveling in for a wedding on New Year’s Eve. I had a 1:00 pm appointment scheduled and, when my airline notified me that my flight might be delayed, I proactively contacted the Blo Homewood text line as soon as I received that information to ask about my options. I inquired whether a later appointment might be available and also asked what their cancellation policy was. Without my consent or confirmation, the representative immediately canceled my appointment and charged me the full service fee of $93. I did not agree to cancel my booking. I was shocked by how quickly this was done, especially given that I was simply asking for information. I attempted to call the front desk to discuss the situation, but no one answered on multiple tries. When I eventually reached someone, the interaction was rude and dismissive. They would not reinstate my original appointment, even though my flight delay had resolved and I could have made the original time. As someone who travels frequently for business, I have never been treated with such disregard for basic customer communication or professionalism. There has been no follow-up or effort to resolve the issue, and I am left absorbing the full cost due entirely to how poorly this situation was handled. I would not recommend this location to anyone traveling into town who may expect reasonable communication or respect,

Blo Blow Dry Bar is THE best place to get your hair styled for an event, makeup services and for a blowout! Everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable about all hair types. They make you feel so relaxed, I almost fell asleep multiple times. My stylist throughly explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. Do yourself a favor and book a blowout at Blo— you won’t regret it!! My hair has never looked so good, not to mention it lasted for DAYS!
