Hair Cuttery Color & Haircuts - Hoffman Estates

Stuff happened Okay, short version: June 2024 The Schaumburg one ruined my hair on my birthday. It was meant to be steps to a pink balayage shown below. The Polish stylist(never said her name) decides against it and did this. Cried a bunch, yada yada. I went to this Hoffman one. And the dyed black was PERMANENT and they had to chop it off. Which was half my hair. I was happy til they said next appointment would be far longer because of the double treatment in one day. So I bawled again and hid my hair in caps and wigs for a few months. Now I’m fine with it and last pic shows it’s grown to almost back to the previous length. UPDATE: DEC 30, 2025 4 Stars Got a balayage from Amy! It’s gorgeous. It’d take another session for my hair to be light enough to be pink. Can’t wait! UPDATE: JAN 29, 2026 5+ STARS Amy is a God. Seriously. She matched my hair exactly like the photo(my camera and the lighting makes it not look it, but it is). It’s lots of highlights but it looks like full color! She recommended that so my roots will look smoother when they grow. Now I need makeup so my hair matches my face. XD

Went in for a face framing highlight and blowout, $80 service as listed on the website. During the consult was very clear that I did not want blonde, yellow, orange, copper, or red highlights I wanted brown & cool toned. After showing the stylist my reference photo she said I would need a balayage to get the result I wanted, and not the service I originally booked which cost $70 more than what I booked originally. I came in wanting cool toned brown highlights that went to the scalp and framed my face, and left with straight up yellow around my entire head after being talked into a different service. At the end of the appointment she asked me if I liked it and seemed shocked that I did not like the color, she did offer to retone it for me but I am visiting from out of town and had already been in the salon for 4 hours so I declined. The cut and style was perfect but the color is not even close to what I asked and paid for, very disappointing to pay $150 + tip to get something that I don't like at all. I included pictures of what I got and what reference photo was used during the consult.

Great first time experience! I got a shampoo and cut. Also I got a $20 first time haircut code and left a $10 trip. Did a big chop to donate my hair to make a wig for my BFF. Love my new hair cute!!! Definitely would recommend.

Ive been coming here for years. All of the employees at golf center have been nothing but amazing!! Caren has been taking care of my daughter and I our last several cuts/colors. Shes wonderful - a girls girl & a true gem to this location! Also adding in my daughters cut/color from last time. It was her first salon expirence & Caren made her feel so special. Booking her for the next color also!

Ada was super professional and really took the time to explain proper hair care. She listened to what I wanted and made sure the cut and color matched my vision perfectly. I absolutely love the layers and how everything turned out! She was also so kind and easy to talk to. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great stylist. 💇‍♀️✨

Amy is compassionate and does amazing work! My sister is in an electric and she made it seem easy to accommodate her and her chair. Amy cut her hair, did a keratin treatment, colored her brows and then cleaned them up. Her new look is amazing! She is so happy and feels renewed. Christina is a rockstar! After years of going to a top salon in Arlington Heights, I had an appointment cancelled last minute. After my nail appointment next door, I went in for a quick cut. We wound up doing a cut with color and to say I was wowed, is an understatement. Fast forward years and many styles later, she still continues to wow me. Christina is professional, knowledgeable and realistic about what can and can't be done. My whole family now see her and I always get compliments on my hair.
