Was in town from New York, Christmas week, and was looking to get a root touch-up. Angela made time for me. The shop was blend of modern and rustic. Angela was friendly and worked with me to pick the right color. Products used after washing smelled great and my curls are bouncy and vibrant. Was taken aback by the $100 bill; usually spend $50-$60 in my Long Island neighborhood. Am grateful she took me; will certainly ask for price AHEAD of time in the future.

Lauren was just so comforting! I recently moved back from Florida and I was unsure where to get my hair done at. She knew what she was doing and made me feel like a new woman. I WILL be going to see her now every 5 weeks and look forward to seeing her. At the end of it all I feel like we were met to meet. I highly recommend Lauren and her Team!!!

This is definitely a late review: Sometimes you just need to get in your car and drive. That’s how I ended up at Hair + Tonic in Gulfport on a morning when I really needed a reset. I didn’t plan it—I just saw the salon, took a breath, and asked if they had space for a walk-in. Lauren, the owner, was the only one in that morning. She had just finished with a client earlier than expected and somehow made room for me without hesitation. I didn’t ask for anything complicated—just a cut and style—but what I got was more than a haircut. The salon itself is clean, modern, and airy—comfortable in a way that puts you at ease without trying too hard. But it was Lauren’s presence that made the real difference. From the start, she was warm and easy to talk to, and she genuinely welcomed my questions about her life, her business, and her travels. Our conversation was effortless, and being able to shift my focus onto someone so kind and grounded was exactly the kind of happy distraction I didn’t know I needed. There were a few people who came in while I was there, hoping for walk-ins, and Lauren treated every one of them with kindness—even while making it clear, without words, that she was fully present with me. She held eye contact, stayed grounded, and somehow made me feel seen the whole time. To be honest, I had a pretty bad haircut experiences a few months prior, and I came in that morning carrying a lot of anxiety. But Lauren’s calm, down-to-earth vibe put me at ease in a way I didn’t expect. She didn’t overdo it—she was just authentically herself. That alone made a huge impact. And yes—my hair looked amazing. I only wish I had asked for styling tips so I could recreate the magic at home. When I left, I felt like a different version of myself—lighter, calmer, more myself. Lauren even recommended a nearby spot where I could work remotely, and her suggestion was perfect. Every piece of that day unfolded better because of her. I live in New Orleans, but I’m genuinely considering making the hour drive just to have Lauren cut my hair again (next time, with an appointment). I wholeheartedly recommend her—not just for her skill, but for who she is.

I had a hair emergency. I had accidentally dyed my hair, blood red from a Halloween hair gel stain that I didn’t know was actually a hair stain. I called a lot of different salons and Lauren Was the only person brave enough to help me! She squeezed me in last minute and saved my life. She was able to get me back to a more natural color, and I am very thankful for her and her salon. Amazing salon. Amazing attitude! amazing personality! 20 out of 10. Recommend this place!!!! I had the nastiest color in my hair and she somehow was able to fix it. MAGIC!

I recently started coming here because I needed a new hair dresser. Paige took care of me and made sure to fulfill all my hair wishes. She is just the best!! If you’re looking for someone who does a wide range of styles and cuts, go see her at Hair + Tonic in Gulfport!!!

If you're nervous about your haircut, this is definitely the place for you. Incredible haircut and incredible prices. I cannot recommend Dianna and this salon enough. I've been extremely nervous about getting a haircut for the past three years, but Dianna was incredible. As a guy with long hair, she listened to what I asked for, took extra time and care to make sure I was happy with the progress of the cut, and made the atmosphere of the experience excellent. I got the best haircut I've received in a decade and I'll definitely be returning.
