I’ve been coming to this salon for a while now, and I honestly can’t see myself going anywhere else. The atmosphere is always so clean, calm, and welcoming — you can tell they really care about their clients and the space they’ve built. Kevin is the one who did my perm, and he absolutely killed it. He took the time to really understand what I wanted, explained everything clearly, and made sure my hair stayed healthy through the process. The result came out exactly how I pictured it — natural, textured, and easy to style. Every time I leave, I feel confident and taken care of. The consistency and attention to detail here are what keep me loyal. If you’re thinking about getting a perm or just want a stylist who knows what they’re doing and genuinely cares, definitely ask for Kevin.
Pricing is inconsistent and unclear. Although I understand prices may vary by hair length, I was charged $100 on one visit and $150 on others for about the same length. If prices change, that should be clearly explained beforehand. The total was $200, and when tipping, I said $20 by mistake when I meant 18%. They charged $40 without confirming and said it was 20%. I would have tipped 20% if asked, but it felt forced due to the lack of clarification. I also wasn’t greeted when I entered—just stared at and then pointed to a seat after mentioning my appointment. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and overly focused on money.
The worst experience ever. The female hair stylist, completely ruined my son's hair. Then she didn't even ask for a tip, she just took it, forcing me to pay, it was simply awful. I would have gladly given her a tip if she had cut his hair properly. Also, she didn't understand English at all; I told her to leave the length, but she cut it very short. Simply a terrible hairdresser and a terrible experience!
Overall the haircut was fine the first day because they curled my hair but then after when I washed my hair I saw that my hair was cut unevenly.
I’ve been a client here for a few months now but every time they’ve been unwelcoming while demanding a 20% tip from customers. They will pressure you for it and give an attitude if you don’t. Just please be aware of this.
Terrible experience. Ruined my hair. Raised their prices. (Long hair women’s cut is now $60+.) Do not ask the middle-aged female hairdresser for layers. I originally booked an appointment with Annie, who cut my hair 2–3 years ago, I forgot how she looked like. I’m not sure it was her this time because the lady never told me her name. She rushed through the cut, paid zero attention to detail, and had no idea how to handle frizzy hair properly. She over-layered my entire head and took way too much hair from the front. I already had some shorter pieces in the front, just the right amount for thick, frizzy hair, but she removed far more than necessary. There was almost no communication. She started thinning the back of my hair without asking me first—I had to stop her halfway. I’m always careful about haircuts because my hair is thick and frizzy. I’ve spent 2–3 years maintaining it so it wouldn’t be too frizzy after washing. The lack of communication and language barrier made it impossible to ensure she understood what I wanted. Too much layering and thinning made my hair super frizzy after drying the hair. It’s a disaster.
Asked for a volume perm and showed him pics of what I wanted. He didn’t say hey this isn’t the right perm to get the hairstyle in the pictures that I showed him as I did something similar in Korea. I told him I’m worried about volume but want this hairstyle, which he then just said ok. If you’re the stylist especially for a perm and, I show you what I want then it’s literally your job to advise before I start After the hair turned out horribly he blamed me saying that I choose the wrong perm and that I should have chosen the more expensive volume magic which is 350. Even nyc doesn’t charge 350$... I asked him to keep the hair a bit long as well and he over cut it before doing the perm as well. The sides aren’t even blended in. I don’t usually critique this hard but if I’m paying 150$, this is absolutely amateur hour and horrifying I have attached what I wanted vs what I got. How disappointing
