my husband and I gifted my little sister a haircut and highlight from Noel for her graduation and birthday party. she had asked for an even cut to level out her hair as she had a bad cut prior to this and for money pieces and light highlights. Noel promised to not cut over a certain length and proceeded to do the complete opposite of everything My little sister had asked for. I left two messages with the photos and exactly what happened and asked to get it fixed. I never heard back so my husband ended up calling the salon. The receptionist proceeded to tell him that Noel did not want to speak to him, and that they will only refund us for the cut. The color was wrong and she did not receive the money pieces that she had asked for and her hair felt completely fried. when my husband finally got the chance to speak to Noel, she said that this was not her fault and blamed my sister, and the receptionist said that my sister should’ve spoken up, which I understand but my sister is only 14 years old, In my sister’s defense, it could be really intimidating when the owners doing your hair and messed it up as bad as she did and not wanting to cry in the salon. I have been to the salon before and had a really good experience with another stylist and have recommended it to a lot of people. This was so disappointing. unfortunately, they only gave us a partial refund as Noel‘s time needed to be valued, but not my sisters after having to go to another salon and fixing Noel’s mess. Please spend your $250 at another salon and don’t waste your time with a stylist who doesn’t value her clients satisfaction.
A friend of mine recommended this salon but after reading the reviews about all of the horrible haircuts and seeing their TikTok antics, I’ll be continuing my search for a new salon. Perhaps they should censor their social media or remove "welcoming atmosphere" from their Google bio.
I had a great experience with Mia! She was friendly and welcoming. Additionally she really took her time to cut and style my hair, using several hair products to ensure my blowout would last. I asked for a butterfly cut with wispy curtain bangs and a fuller bottom.
Alyssa is THAT girl when it comes to hair and hands down the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to. She’s professional, detail-oriented, and you can tell she truly cares about her work. I came in for a balayage and haircut/blowout, and she absolutely nailed it. Her assistant Mia was also so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. On top of the amazing results, Alyssa just has that effortless baddie energy. I left the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and honestly like a new person. It’s rare to find someone who’s both incredibly talented and makes you feel so comfortable in the chair. Highly recommend Alyssa if you want not just great hair, but the full "walk out feeling like a baddie" experience. Thank you so much, Alyssa!
Update: Noel reached out and apologized for my experience. I appreciated her efforts to resolve things and accepted a refund. ---- I left my appointment with Noel confused and frustrated. My hair was 2-3 inches shorter than what I asked for and comically uneven. I don't believe this was a miscommunication issue and could forgive the length if that was the case. I think maybe she was upset with me and acted unprofessionally, or was in a rush which resulted in a reckless job. This isn't a novice stylist -- she told me she owned the salon after she had a disagreement with a different stylist over the music playing. I'm not sure if that affected her mood and my haircut. I went to a new stylist the next day to salvage the cut, and they said that she had to have done this on purpose because there was no way a cut could be so uneven. A skilled hair stylist wouldn't make these mistakes. I asked Noel for a below-the-shoulder length cut, some texturizing layers, and soft face-framing pieces. I showed her my Pinterest board for visual examples and we seemed to be on the same page. While I originally booked for just a haircut, I inquired about dyeing some of my white hairs into a peek-a-boo gray streak and she happily obliged but warned me it would be a 2-3 hour process. I understood and agreed. I checked in with her twice: once because the bleach was dripping under the heat, and a second time when I was waiting for the toner to set, past the 20 minutes she allotted. I understood I had to share my time because I extended my appointment. I think us checking in was what upset her or made her feel rushed. A different stylist eventually came to wash my hair. When Noel came back, she said "I told you it would take a while," so I wasn't sure if she was joking or upset. I told her it wasn't an issue, and that I was just checking in. She asked about the length again, and I pointed an inch below my shoulder and said, "Here, below the shoulders." She replied, "Ok, the collarbone," and turned me around so I couldn't see the mirror and started chopping away. I immediately felt something was off because of her speed. Usually, stylists will use a comb to make sure things are straight, cut in sections, etc. but it felt like she was just eyeballing and hacking away across the back of my head. Regretfully, I didn't speak up. She turned me around after cutting half of my head and asked me what I thought. The cut was ABOVE my shoulder, by my chin. I told her as nicely as I could that it was shorter than I expected. She replied in an irked tone, "Oh," and then followed up with, "Don't worry, it'll be cute." No apology or acknowledgment that that was not the length we discussed. I asked her about my soft face-framing pieces and she said she would do that next. Again, she turned me around so I couldn't see the mirror, and just started cutting without any consideration of my face shape and what length would be complementary. No measuring to make sure both sides were even. When she turned me around, I saw how chunky and short they were. I felt defeated and just wanted out. When she finished, she asked me what I thought. I reluctantly told her I had to get used to it. She told me again she thought it was cute and that I would grow to like it. When I went home and washed out the curls, I noticed how uneven the cut was. That's when I realized that this wasn't just a short haircut but an objectively BAD haircut. There were chunks of hair that were an inch longer than others, and the bangs were worse than I thought. They look like an indent in a paragraph. There was no gradual layering or anything that indicated thoughtfulness or technique. I just don't understand the quality of the cut. What happened? If she didn't have the time to do both, I wish she had communicated that, and I'd be happy with just a haircut. If she was annoyed, I'm genuinely sorry. She could've refused service and I would've left. In the end, I felt like a fool for paying $200 for a poor haircut and two small sections of highlighted hair.
I would never, NEVER go here again. I feel so violated and honestly just the worst I’ve ever felt. I made an appointment for 3pm, I waited in the lobby for 20 min before getting shampooed by her assistant, then sat in the chair for another 30 minutes before even getting cut. She had to rewet my hair before she could even trim me I waited so long. I went in for a trim. 4 inches at most and she cut to shoulder length which was almost 8 inches off my hair. Even though we agreed before hand to only cut to the middle of my back. She turned the chair around and told me to not peek. I am beyond devastated and should have left before she even touched my hair. She is an evil person I wouldn’t go here. Please find somewhere else to spend your money. Don’t be like me who thought the previous reviews were a fluke. She shouldn’t have a license to cut people’s hair.
I normally don’t leave reviews but I enjoyed my haircut so much I wanted to write one! My hair stylist was Jacque. She listened to what I wanted for my hair. Her assistant (I can’t remember her name I wish I did) washed my hair and started blow drying. I have curly hair and was wanting it straight today, so I thought she would blow dry and then go over with a flat iron but no! Not only did Jacque’s assistant blow dry my hair SO WELL, Jacque also came in and started blow drying. I have never had two people blow dry and do my hair at the same time. I’m sure this is normal for them, but I felt very special☺️. They did such a good job they didn’t even have to use a flat iron (which I always have to so I was shocked and so impressed). This was the best blowout I’ve ever seen done on my curly hair. The cut was nice and even and she didn’t take too much off. I was very impressed. Also love the vibe of the place. It’s very cute inside. I will be coming back whenever I need my hair cut again😁😁
