From the moment I walked into HarlowGold, I knew I was somewhere special. My experience began with Sherri, the owner, who did my initial consultation. She is a true visionary. Sherri created a thoughtful, realistic roadmap for transitioning my hair out of black box dye — prioritizing health, integrity, and long-term success over shortcuts. Because of her plan, there was no damage and no breakage, just beautiful, intentional progress. She didn’t just explain why you can’t undo box color overnight — she taught me that you can still feel beautiful while you’re transitioning into what you originally tried to do yourself. When I arrived for my appointment, Sherri was busy up front, yet she stopped immediately, welcomed me with the most genuine, adoring greeting I’ve ever received anywhere, and made me feel like I truly belonged in a hip, downtown salon that I honestly couldn’t afford without my sister’s Christmas gift. On a cold day, she offered me a warm drink, personally went to get my stylist, and made what could have felt intimidating feel completely safe and human. She made the ugly duckling feel seen. As I was leaving, she was chanting "supermodel," and while that may not be my personal goal, it was incredibly flattering and deeply appreciated. Sherri’s heart is every bit as exquisite as her talent — she is a light I will never forget. And then there’s Caroline — my stylist, and truly someone special. Caroline listened. She laughed with me. She shared empathy. She shared pieces of herself. She made me feel comfortable, understood, and cared for the entire time. She executed Sherri’s vision flawlessly, with skill and confidence beyond her years. And in a moment that perfectly captures who she is — when I got up to use the restroom and forgot I’d hidden my M&Ms under my gown, she quietly swept them up for me without a word. That kindness says everything. I left with healthy hair, renewed confidence, and a feeling I haven’t had in a long time — hope. I will absolutely be a lifelong client (and yes, now even more motivated to get a job so I can keep coming back!). HarlowGold is not just a salon. It’s a place where artistry, integrity, and humanity meet. I cannot recommend it — or Sherri and Caroline — highly enough.

Sage is just amazing. So skilled and efficient and gives you a luxurious service. She always manages to give me exactly what I ask for. I appreciate that she matches my energy too, if I’m feeling chatty we can vibe in conversation, or if I’m busy relaxing she gives me my peace. So happy I found a hairstylist that I really love. She’s so cool and so talented.

Taylor is amazing! My daughter has been wanting me to go to Taylor for well over a year now. I am so grateful she and my husband set it up for me as a Christmas gift. She always gives me a haircut that makes me feel great and helped me make my purple hair dreams come true before my SMAS surgery, purple is my favorite color and also the color for SMAS - Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome awareness. Sara will make you feel heard and so comfortable from your first visit! She is so warm and friendly, making the time in the chair fly by and have you looking forward to your next visit. She does an amazing job and I get so many compliments on my hair! The entire staff at this beautiful salon is helpful and kind. I cannot recommend Harlow Gold enough!

Harlow Gold is the only place I go and recommend to others with curls to get their hair cut and styled. I have always gone to Taylor and never want to go to anyone ever again. She is so easy to talk too, has great energy, and KNOWS how to cut curly hair. She's fantastic at taking my ideas and interpreting them onto my curls, always hooks me up with some mask or treatment to have them looking gorgeous, and is down to do anything. 10/10 would recommend!!
